Hi everyone

Im thinking of going to Switzerland this season to work as an instructor with my girlfriend. I got my certs in New Zealand and Canada so I need a reosrt that recognises them. Where is good to go? Ideally id like to go to a French speaking area. Also, how should I go about applying for a job instructing there?

Thanks

You got lucky; the French have lowered their requirements, and I don't think they recognized foreign certs. They're trying to reach a larger public and stuff, so they're hiring foreigner aswell (including Dutch people ;) ).
I'd start of by choosing which resort you wanna go to. I would recommend either Port du Soleil (húge resort, Avoriaz would be your best bet in that area if you ask me) or Les Tres Vallees (Where Val Thorens would be your best bet). Both are areas are húge (600km+ piste (that's like 450 Mile)) and are at high altitude (2000m+/6000FT+).

In France there's a national Skischool- and teacher foundation called the ESF (Ecole du Ski France) and they run almost all the big schools in the resorts throughout the country. You're best of contacting them I'd say. (http://www.esf.net/)

Good luck!
