What would be the best way to front board a down log?  I was trying it a couple weeks ago and having trouble landing it due to the toe edge washing out or the heel edge digging in.  Are there any tricks with getting the angle right or just practice?

Try to get perpendicular and keep most of the pressure on your toes. It's a balancing act, especially if the long doesn't have a rainbow to it.
