I recommend Limon.  Super easy to get on I70 from there...

haha candy grind....

i live in downtown Denver and LOVE it!  There's so much to do here and you also have access to the airport.  It makes it easier to pick up friends.  However, I had a little over 200 days last winter... all of that was driving to and from denver... so get a very reliable car if you plan to live in Denver.

I also lived in Dillon (right by Silverthorne) for a bit, it was cool but there's not a lot to do.  You can skateboard, cycle, hike, whatever.. but in the winter, you snowboard all day then what?  Go to bars?  Parties??  I don't like to do those things EVERY SINGLE DAY lol so it gets old fast.  I do like it in the mountains though.

This winter, I'm probably gonna be living in the second house in Keystone so I don't have to drive so much, or just find a cheap rental house/apartment somewhere halfway between Denver and the mountains... like Goergetown or Idaho Springs.  Idaho Springs is 18 miles away from Denver, but I think Georgetown is a lot closer to the mountains.  You just drive up that big hill where assholes always go slow on in the left lane, and then it's like a 5 min drive to the tunnel!

Out of money, out of hope, but who cares...
...I get to ride all the time!

Boulder is doable.. While the drive itself isn't too long you have to take 93 which is always slow, especially on weekends. If you live in a town away from the mountains, avoid going on weekends.

I'd suggest Frisco, Dillon, or Silverthorne.
They pretty much form one town and are near Copper, Keystone, A*Basin, and Breck.

Maybe Dillon Ridge and Silverthorne form a town but Dillon Proper and Frisco nope.

Denver is really nice. I also boarded at Breckenridge one year, it was such a great place. My boyfriend also went to Silverton last year and said he loved it. He also just showed me this link from what they're doing up at Silverton. It looked pretty cool.
