So I just picked up a pair of Rome Libertines. I looked up on the internet how to heat mold them since rome gives you no instruction what so ever but could only come up with a ski boot heater. Is the heater the same no matter if its a ski or snowboard boot?

same heater for both

...or you can just wear them out of the box and your body heat will mold them

so i went to my local sport mart and they have a convection oven. ive heard really bad things about putting the liners in ovens though. that the foam gets really hard shortly after doing it. anyone know anything about this?

the hockey oven is fine if they know what they're doing

which is unlikely
Etiquette? Is that some sort of toilet paper?

convection ovens are what you are supposed to use to heat mold. Bottom line.

Yeah isn't it a regular oven that screws the liners, not convection?

On a related note, apparently a pair of boots I just picked up have heat moldable liners.. do you have to get them heat molded before you ride them if you want to do it, or can you ride a few days and then decide if you want to get it done? Just wondering since I've never had them before..

Buy stuff I made because I'm awesome!

yeah, you can ride in them then have them heat molded. basically, heat molding is just a quick break in for the boots.

I contacted a Rome rep and he said that the tube heater is the ideal way to do it because the oven could really wreck the boot.

I think I'm going to pass on heat molding. When I first got the boots they were really uncomfortably cramped (the only reason I was considering heat molding), but I have put them on 5 different times or so and walked around for a minimum of 5 min and they are already starting to feel more spacious so I'm good now. They won't take too long to break in I'm sure
