Alrighty for the last 2 years ive been trying this trick, and cant seem to get it down. Its really tough because you cant spot your landing, so its like your coming in blind. I ride regular, coming upto the lip i just throw a front flip like I would into a pool or something get around, for some reason I spin 180 and come down switch but everytime I land on the board, it just slides out. Im doing it over little jumps because you dont need much height for frontflips. Could that be my problem? Not enough hangtime? The jumps ive been trying them off of are about 10 - 15'. I just wanna get it down but everytime I try I feel like its near impossible and if you do land it, its complete luck because of the fact you cant see your landing. Any tips on this?

And is their a real name for this trick? I suppose it could be considered a 540?

the trick i think you're describing is called a misty flip. when you say your board slides out does that mean you're landing on your tail and then the board slips out from under you, ie the board slides downhill and you fall uphill? if this is the case it's probably because you're trying to land too soon, you're not doing the full rotation try waiting a little longer before putting down the landing gear

Look between your feet when you throw it.  It's an actual trick thats been renamed 100's of times.
