Hey, new here. I am in the market for a new board. I have been riding a FLow Venus 143 for 2 years and it's just not cutting it anymore. Not enough flex, heavy, etc. It's a great board for a beginner, but I think I've moved beyond that. (If anyone wants it with Flow Flite 2 bindings I am selling it for $175 OBO, BTW)

I have been looking for a new setup and I want something that has a little more flex and a twin tip, multidirectional. I want an all-mountain board, but something that can hold it's own in the park too. I really like the Arbor boards, but I can't seem to find any in my size. I am 5' 100lbs and every time I find a board I like it seems that the smallest size is like 153.

I have been leading towards the K2 VaVaVoom with some Burton bindings any suggestions?

Thanks

I think the VVV is a bit too much park orientated for all mountain usage. Get a more polyvalent board, unless you do a lot of rails all day long, there are board far more adapted.

Sorry, don't know much about the female board, I think the Unity Virgo is a quite good board but may be a bit stiff.

i had trouble finding a girl's board too, myself. i'm on the short side too so finding something small enough was trouble.

sounds like you're looking for something along the lines of a directional twin. i rode the VVV rocker and loved it, but like mosh said, it's much more of a park board, not so much all mountain. The arbor eden looks pretty sweet, my man rides an arbor element and loves it. but the eden's a directional, so it wouldn't be as easy to ride switch on. the burton feelgood would probably be suitable for what you're looking for; it's basically an all-mountain board that can still hold it in the park. burton's also got the troop and the blender that might work for you. option's got the bella which is also directional twin. rome's vinyl is also a possibility. of course, you could always go with true twins in a bit of a stiffer flex and they'll do you well all mountain. forum craft and ride rapture are all-mountain geared true twins.

you might also want to try looking at youth boards - they're built same as adult boards, but in smaller sizes, which is great for us mini-adults. i actually wound up getting a salomon fierce in a 140, and it's super fun. true twin, and it's handled everything i've thrown at it excellently.

just as a note, the troop has been listed a couple times in the last few days on www.brociety.com for a pretty good price...

and kendra may be right with the sizing... you may need to keep looking at juniors boards as well.

as another tip, check out the snowboards section of the forums and search through there... a lot of the members are really knowledgeable in there and might be able to help you or may have a few good ideas already posted.  good luck.

Hope:
everything will be okay in the end.

Regarding the youth boards, sometimes they tend to be a bit less resistant as "adult" ones.

There's plenty of womans' boards around. Just do some homework, & decide what kind of riding you really want to get into.

Riding with both girls & guys is always a good thing; sometimes is very chilled/laid-back, & other times, it's the girls who are pushing the guys, & vice versa...

In my own conclusion, Kendra...; Girls are mean, so throw sticks at them!!!

Yeah, I know, & I'm looking foward to meeting you guys, finally. I was just thinking about when Eryn stayed with me, this time last year, & I have to say, it was great hanging out...except for her beating me all the time at bord games.

I agree with the Burton Blender. You can get an 08-09 for $259 from meltdown snow board shop in kitchener ( they will ship) I rode this board last year and fell in love with it. Now it is a true twin but you can always set your bindings back one to ride as directional.  But honestly you won't want to.

Super fast base, nice flex super light weight...this board FUCKS! I will put a personal guarentee on it that you'll love it too!

Look for next years lipstick! It's the shit !

Arbors are golden too, but a bitch to warranty. They are super high end board and tops sheets are more fragile than other brands. I really like rome boards but the ladies line isn't designed by ladies and I think they are lacking in some parts of their womens boards, they are just on the heavy side for me.

I rode an older 147  Gnu Barret Christy for a while.  It was too short for me (5'8" )  but if you can find that board I HIGHLY recommend it.  Board is light, poppy, and turns just thinking about it.
Let it snow!
