SezWBC Posts : 233 ONLINE	Posted on Mar 04, 2009 have you counted the buttons on most console controllers lately? 14 on xbox about the same on ps3 those numbers including clicking down on both analog sticks. im sure there is a menu pull up like with the back and or select button as well.

I like rts's though mainly the ones blizzard pumps out. thats the beauty of it. Its all about war rather than micro management. I love the pc rts games like warcraft and age of empires (my fave is rise of nations) but i think this was a massive step forward for rts on console because it they dialed in a good control scheme IMO, and its alot of fun.

Rise of nations was pretty sweet though, It was like a fast paced civilization game. yeah civ is the only turn based game i liked to play..........when it was civ 3.....after that it sucked ass....seriously, the game ends in 2050, as much as i think its great, it should go till the winner. my favorite rts of all time is ascendency though....someone needs to bring that one back in a bad way. halo wars will be the canvas for all console based rts games i think. the game isnt meant to be political. it isnt meant to be about gather resources. you cant base crawl or anything like that. its war. you already know the politics. there isnt any need to play diplomacy. and its super intense online, way more intense than command and conquer 3
