I went to a local shop in search for some J-bars... the boot fitter was a cool guy and roughly cut up 3 pads for me (1 of them cut pretty small), and he ripped a chunk of the foam and told me to cut that last piece myself.  told me it was on the house.

now that I know that I can make them myself, I would like to do that.

now, the problem is, where do I find this foam?

i know about Tognar, but it's a pretty big rip off considering shipping is $7.50 and 2 pairs is 8 bucks.

...plus, the adhesive on their j-bars and stuff  is weak.  Three of mine stuck, but not well, and the fourth wouldn't stick at all.

if you can get them to stick slightly and can then actually get the liner in the boot without them tearing off, your foot pressure will mashed them on good and they won't fall of later

My apologies, I didn't read your original post correctly (didn't realize you want to build it yourself)... Hobby store?
