cork it, then when you think you can't cork it any further, go ahead and cork it a little more... the more cork the better, but make sure you don't cork it so much that you cork it too far... i'd say about 50% above half of the amount of cork you need is sufficient... anything above that, like 2/3 of what you would normally cork for an overcorked spin, would be wayyyyy too much... just ask shawn white if you don't believe me... when he corks, he goes right to about 50% then drops it down about a quarter of the amount of cork he started with... he then takes it around so that the cork is perpendicular to the fall-line... perpendicular i said, not parallel... many pros, including travis rice and jed anderson, would say go parallel with your corks about halfway through, but the new method of corking says this is wayyyyy too dangerous... just go perpendicular, about half of 50% all the way through until you can spot your landing with your left arm and you're golden... if you do take your overcork about 25% past parallel, make sure you tuck your right shoulder and spot the recork as it comes around... that's for backside spins... reverse everything i just said for frontside... then double reverse it for switch backside... obviously, you'll want to triple reverse it for switch frontside, but you seem like an experienced rider so i shouldn't even have to mention that...
corking is fun, but you just need to know what you're doing... good luck and if you have any more questions, ask away!
