How are these 2 models this year?  I've only heard good things on here about the fargo in past years, and wondering if they're still solid, and the Wiig looks like basically the same boot but no boa

I've got the Wiig. Solid, solid boot. Took a bit to break them compared to my other boots, but super supportive. Awesome to jump with.

wicked, i'm gonna hopefully try some on today and either grab them from the shop, or order them from quebec, whichever is cheaper.  Also, are they basically the same boot, one with boa and one without?

The Fargo's are quite a bit softer than the Wiig. I liked the support of the Wiig, but they werent right for me. The first day of riding them I had all kinds of pressure points in the boots. Starting with heal, the instep, the toes...it was just not for my foot.

I hear ya on that Agent. That's why they took a bit longer to break in for me, hell, I don't think they're fully broken in yet. I still get some pressure points in my left boot on the instep, but it's getting better. I've in fact gone back to my 32s just because it's been awesome park days and to be honest, felt more comfortable in them. Didn't want to waste a day in the Wiigs. But, probably after this week, it'll be full time in the Wiigs.

other than the flex, is the fit the same?  If it is, I could try on a Fargo and get the right fitting size, and just order that size in a Wiig.

Yeah, the Vans sizing is basically the same. So, you would be the same size in the Wiig as the Fargo. But the Wiigs definitley fit differently than the Fargos. But yeah, size will be the same.

I would definitely recommend walking around in the Wiig's though before purchasing. I put them on and thought they felt great. I liked how stiff they were and I liked the feel. But after a few runs on them, my feet were hurting all over. The instep mostly, but the heal a little too.

My Wiigs are finally broken in and are super comfy. Awesome for jumping. A lil heavy but it's like a cushion for your foot while jumping. Highly recommend them.

Hey guys
The wiigs are awesome. At first however i could not ride in them as I was a beginner and they were for advanced riders. However now i can ride intermediate style and pull off a few methods etc and they feel great. Good responsive boots.

what does pulling off a few methods have to do with boots?

Ratings for boots i.e. beginner, intermediate, advanced.... are pretty much pointless. A beginner could have a boot maked for advanced riding and do fine in them. Really it just tells you the quality of the boot. And it definitely has nothing to do with being able to pull a few methods.

wiigs do have a lot of nice features, but they're extremely stiff and heavy

standard laces on these didn't work for me as well as they might on a flexier boot.  Seems boa might be better on these

I also didn't like the metal bar decorations on the strap loops.  Not only do they just add weight, but my bindings quickly popped some of the lower ones half off, so I had these useless metal bars dangling from my boots all day

plenty of function, but a little too much form

They're not that heavy and to be honest, only stiff for like a few days, well in my case. Great boot. They did last a bit more than my 32's, but then again, I'm sure any boot I use is only going to last 60-some days.
