AK- march and april are our snowiest months, although you can ride sick snow up here in july too. anyway, FYI

I have to agree AK is your best bet.  Colorado and Utah get a ton of snow during that time, but also plenty of sunshine.

Spring riding in Tahoe should be off the hook this year.  They could get a ton of snow too, but if not, the sunny warm spring slush days are the best there is.

I would never bank on powder in April and May in Tahoe. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesnt. Right now we are in good shape once again. Almost 3 feet just from last night at lake level

Yeah, I wasn't really saying to expect powder there at that time.  Just that the sunny spring conditions are probably the best in North America.

yeah, I agree. Spring in California does kick ass. I especially like how only the locals are still at the mountains. Hardly any of the bay area flatlanders come up in late spring.

if canada's an option, I've had some sick pow days at sunshine village in late april and early may...they still get pretty consistent snow there at that time given how late it is in the season.
