So I am thinking of coming back out west for spring break, but the funds are kind of lacking.  I am also trying to set up a couple job interviews.. anyone know of an engineering firm hiring?  So sounds kind of stupid but does anyone have a couch I can crash on or a floor?  generally in the Denver area or more West?  Just PM me if you dont mind.  Just the funds are lacking and I am itching for more powder.

I hear el's out of a job, as long as you can handle an ass pounding you can have a bed to crash in.
Hope:
everything will be okay in the end.

I don't know about anything in Colorado, but I did see recently that the unemployment rate in Utah was much lower around 4.3% and Colorado was something like 6 or 7% so you may have better luck looking around Salt Lake until the economy picks back up.

it is really frustrating since college recruiters from out West never come here to the Southeast so I have to do my own job search.  So I thought i would ask here if anyone knew of any jobs

There's going to be jobs.

I gots them loans and did have a car loan on top of rent. Tho, for one season I did put a hold on my student loan bills. But back at it and doing just fine (knock on wood). And I ride everyday. You can make a decent paycheck living in Breck/Dillon/Silverthorne.

I hear you on the recruiter thing.  I graduated from Auburn in 07 and no one was hiring outside the SE so I ended up taking a job in Atlanta.  If you run across any supply chain jobs out there in your search let me know.

I am driving out to CO next week, but I was wondering how the interstate generally is, i.e. icy?  The weather looks clear now so I just want to make sure my little front wheel drive car doesn't need chains or anything like that.

Get some cables or chains and throw them in the trunk.  I doubt you will need them, but if you do, you'll be glad you have them.  I recommend cables, they are much easier to put on and off than chains.  In the 10 years that I owned my FWD vehicle, I put the cables on less than five times.  Maybe three times.  It's the "better to have a gun and not need it" mentality is all...

I don't know about it.
