Have you watched most people that ride through the pipe?

Few things, 1) speed is your friend in a pipe, it allows you to go a bit more flat base up the wall with only a little edge pressure 2) do your edging at the base of the pipe then realease when going up the wall, which is why speed is always good. 3) Don't focus on the lip of the pipe, same with jumping,cliffs, landings , carving, etc. always look forward. Once you start going up the wall focus your sight down hill. 4) Just relax and don't try super hard....for me the harder I try the more tense I get the more I suck...(riding that is)

 

I don't ride pipe much and when I'm sucking it's because one or sometimes all 3 of these things I'm doing wrong. Riding so slow up a backside wall that you have to edge super hard to gets you locked on your edge at the apex, then it's super hard to do anything.
