I got a pair of Ride SPis from rei.com last summer. First time I ride with them, the left toe-strap just falls off the lift! Somehow, It was loose and just dropped off. I contacted rei and they were all for replacing the bindings which is great but I have to return the old ones first and by the time I get the new ones, the season will be pretty much over (I live in Greece). Rei wont just replace the toe strap so I tried contacting Ride but, one week later , still haven't heard from them. The local reseller doesn't have a clue. So, what can I do to get a replacement toe strap? Does anyone know if they even sell them?

p.s.For now, I bought and installed a crappy cheap toe strap but its not the same

you can try going to a shop and saying that you talked to ride and they are sending you out a brand new pair to replace those ones, then see if you can get a new pair from the shop and get the replacements sent to the shop. cal ride again from the shop so they have proof you areent lying and maybe offer to put a deposit down until the new ones show up.

when i worked at a shop, most bindings companies would send the shop a big box of replacement parts. find a ride dealer and ask if they have replacement parts

Hey guys! I work in a shop that does primarily Ride business, and their warranty process tends to be rather slow and requires a ton of persistence on your part. I took me about 5 weeks to get a toe strap warrantied on my Zetas, and required our own warehouse warranty dept getting involved. Part of it, as my Ride rep told me, is that they don't really keep paper trails of anything. Meaning miscommunication happens very easily. Trying to have a dealer handle it really does work better, simply because it is easier to track and record everything you have done in the process.

Their direct number is 800-757-5806 to get to customer service.

Best of luck.

Thanks for your Post Cassi :D

On the other hand, this is what happen...

Went to my local shop last monday, asked them to order for me, which they did...(i still have not hurd from the shop)
Called Ride over the 1-800, they told me to eat it, and contact my local shop....
Emailed them on monday, got my stuff urgently by purolator on wednesday, so they sent it out on that monday or tuesday...

Now thats service :D

so all in all, like you said persisence pays off :D

the ratchet fell off my brand new Head bindings my first time out with them..

just a tip for future - it's always a good idea to check all bolts/fasteners on your equipment when you first get them..  i thought i had, but these 2 little buggers were hidden behind the ratchet!

im going to have to say i disagree with cassie. I also work in a shop that does a large portion of ride business and they have been very reliable and decently quick with shipping replacement parts to us. Full warranty issues that deal with sending a product in to be looked at can take a bit more time but thats any company.
