Being the saint that I am, I decided to take my girls dog for a walk as her V-day gift. She was all for it, and told me to wear him out. Got an early start and headed up to the Stevens pass area.

and then time to bomb.

Roughly a 10 mile round trip and about 6,000' of climbing/riding in 7 hours. Dog is near dead. Happy V-day honey!

This thread makes me smile
If there is a more pointless place to argue than the web...
I don't know about it.

sorry.. skinning.. and lots of transportation skiing. once you factor in the ups and downs, it was really only like doing 2 big laps... with 3 transitons.

3.5 miles/2,500 feet on well packed trail>
500' feet down, then 1 mile through river bottom on non existant track(only part that required skinning in both directions)>
1.5 miles/3000' to summit of jove(found remnants of someone elses track)>
reverse, with lots of shortcuts on the way out.

In total the trip took 7 hours, and alot of that was becasue of lucky slowpaws... Trip would also have been shorter without him, but decided to take a reverse route for ease of following our track out. Double stomping my steps through the trees once was enough.

don't mean to highjack your thread, but my Valentine weekend pics came out crappy, so just decided to post them here

somehow my camera got turned on in my pocket and the brand new batteries were already drained by the time I found out, so I quickly snapped these at Squaw on friday 13:

(above) looking left from the Exhibition chair

from same chair, KT22 lift to my right

even further right: the majestic Squaw Peak and valley

...and furthest to my right is the High Camp tram line
