Hey everyone I'm new to the forum. ( First post actually)

Like the title states I'll be heading to St. Anton Arlberg March 1st through the 5th for some riding. Anyone have any experience there?
I've heard its great for freeriding, which is exactly what I'm lookin for. Also, I hear they have some great powder days. Though I am unsure how good they will be since it is later in the season.
I've been to places like Whistler and Silverstar in BC, and all throughout the East Coast of US and Canada. I'd say I am intermediate to upper intermediate rider. Any suggestions on runs, backcountry, or just things to do in town while I'm there?
Because I am doing an internship in Germany, I don't have all my gear so I am having my folks send over my boots and I'm renting a board from a local shop. Any advice on this?

Also, if anyone is in town and wants to meet up and ride, that would be great, I'm going with my dad, who ski's, but he is pretty decent and always up for some challenges and to meet new people.
We definately want to drink some beers at the end of the day too, any suggestions?

Hiya dude,

Firstly welcome to the forum, how long are you in europe for on your internship?

Unfortunately, I have not been to St Anton, though I have been told it is a good place to go, there are a few Austrian locals within our diverse group on here, Hopefully one or a few of them will be on before you go and be able to give you some pointers on the best riding out there, a good thing I always suggest is to get talking to the locals to find out about the best riding spots, Brabbl might be the best person to answer any questions you have as she seems to know prety much all the resorts and ranges in Austria.

Hope to see more of you here in the forums in the future

Thanks man, any help is great.
Any suggestions on places to ride in germany??? From what I've gathered, there isn't much, and you have to go south to Austria to find some quality hills.

I will be working for a company an hour or so south of Hannover until june, then hopefully cruisin around europe for a month or two this summer.
I have the weekends off so I am looking to go to places that are not too far away so I can leave friday, and come back late sunday night.

If Brabbl doesn't comment on here in the next lil while I will look her up and shoot her a pm. Thanks again!!

Your welcome dude.

I have not ridden in Germany, though I know they have a few resorts, my advice from what I have heard is make the trip into austria, try the Zillertall area, Mayrhoffen and Zell am Ziller are both great resorts to ride in.

Sounds cool, would love to be in driving distance from the mountains so I could spend the weekends up on the slopes.

Brabbl normaly pops in about once a week, so you should see her comment. Though looking at www.worldsnowboardguide.com st Anton looks like its a great place to ride from all accounts.
