i have two pairs of bindings. A rome arsenals and a bent metal biscuit. Both dope bindings.

Its the small plastic part that attaches to the baseplate (opposite to the ladders) Only Rear bindings.

Is it my riding? is it just the cold weather, or both? does anyone have these problems with their binders?

some older k2 and burton bindings had the same problems as this too. i dont think it is your riding it is more likely that it is cheap straps with a mix of cold weather. i would phone rome and bent metal and say you keep snapping those straps and they should send you out a pack of replacement ones. i ride in sask so it is -40 alot here and i always have a couple spare straps in my pack. if you have your toe straps cranked back them off a little so there isnt as uch pressure on them as well.

i've had the same problem on my 390's... i believe it is a combination of stepping on them and the cold.. both times it happened to me was a -20 day in alberta

Update: that is called the adjuster strap.. email Rome and they will send one to you asap!
