I went today and it was like riding in a Pina colada. It supposed to be raining on wednesday and in the 50's. Alpine will be decimated and will have to close for the rest of the season if there isn't a big storm after this week.

Site says they still have snow and with this cold weather at least they can start the guns back up if need be. Wtf is up with 60s in Feb?

Alpines site also says they have a half pipe, ha! Call me pessimistic but I'm doubtful. The snow cam looked pretty bad today, and it needs to get below 30 to make any snow, with nightly temps around 35 it's not looking good.

I'm really sick of that place after this season. Their small park was pitiful until right before the huck finn contest and they never really bother to take care of the bigger park until that contest either. Can't make a kicker to save their lives, cut their "pipe" once at the beginning of the year and let it turn to absolute sh*t, just so they can list it on their website. Will only run two lifts during the weekday, but not the two logical ones that access the whole hill, can't even ride the big park if they don't feel like running that lift. Haven't had a phillips head screwdriver at the tool stand all season, but wouldn't let me borrow one in the shop. Told me it wasn't their responsibility to maintain the tool stand (Alpine signs their pay check right?)  and he would charge me to tighten my rear binding or sell me a tool WTF?!? Have "boarder cross" races (not mentioned on the website or ski line) that snake their way through the top and bottom of the big park, while spectators camp out on the top and at the landing of the bottom kicker (no where near the BX course), almost getting f*cking clobbered and yelling at us to stay off their unmarked course. Not to mention almost every person who works there has a "I don't give a sh*t, go f*ck yourself" attitude.

Definitely not bringing my $500 back to them next year for a season pass. Sorry had to get that off my chest.

I agree fully with you there. Alpine does suck a fat one just as much as the other local hills. Mt. Holly has the small park with 43454 kids riding in it. The one next to it is a great idea if they'd actually set up some terrain. Pine knob brings the suck. Time to move out west!

Yes, back west for me. Guess I was spoiled riding for 13 years in Tahoe before this. Good news is we just got a good 3-4 inches last night, hopefully it lasts and they can rebuild the park.

I'm a bit farther north than you guys, so we still have a solid foot to 2 foot of snow around at my house. So much nicer than having to depend on the ski areas, I still ride them but am not dependent on them for my fun. I did crystal last year and they wouldn't touch the pipe till friday night, so i hear you about riding crap pipes, maybe this year is better but i rather ride my property than go to crystal.
