So i went to my local store looking for some new boots... I have done a lot of mountain freestyle riding and moving my way into the park now....I tried on a few different pairs of boots the two main contenders i tried were the...

Burton Ozone

Burton Jeremy's

The Ozone's had mad flex to them, something i wasn't use too, but really liked...The guy helping me said they were a dam good board boot, but that it wasn't great very mountain riding, since you well have to put way more effort into your turns due to the flex... on a scale of 1-10 i would rate the flex at 9/10...I really liked the feel of this boot but don't want to totally remove mountain riding from my routine

The Jeremy's fit pretty well, not as comfortable as the Ozone, the flex was more 7/10...which felt like it would be good with either mountain or board since it was in the middle area...they reminded me a lot of my old boot though...

Anyone have any ideas/thoughts on which would be better suited too basically doing everything? I'm leaning towards the Ozone's against the retailer's advice just because they felt the best, but will they really make mountain riding that more much difficult with the extra flex?

If neither of these boots are great, rec some please :)

Thanks for all Comments/Suggestions

Hey Kaabachi13,
I am in the *exact* same situation that you were, and I am considering buying the Ozones.
What did you choose in the end?

Please let me know, it would be of great help.

tks

Whatever fits your foot the best is the boot you should get. The O-zones definitely aren't mid-flex. I've had the Hails for 2 years and they're absolute mush and once they break in there won't be any support at all, trust me. And the O-zones are way too expensive for what you get. Just try on as many boots as you can to see what is most comfortable to you and make sure they're a little uncomfortable for when they pack out you won't be swimming in them.
Am I indecisive? Well, yes and no.

i wouldn't get either boot... both the ozone and the jeremy will become mush in about 10 days... i had last year's jeremy's and loved them at first, but they fell apart and became unbearable to ride (liners started tearing at the heel)... forget about big landings with either of them... if you like feeling like you're going to break an ankle at any moment or you like that "i'm wearing slippers" feeling, go for it... also, what the hell is up with burton increasing the price of the jeremy from $199.99 last year to $229.99 this year with no noticeable improvements or upgrades, not even any cosmetic changes except for colors. a whole $30 extra for different color leather? not cool, burton, not cool...

the ozone is pretty much going to be the same kind of crappy except you will be paying $50 extra for extra crappiness... it's burton's park liner that makes these boots suck... they just didn't get it right... back to the drawing board, burton

here's the review of the jeremy i posted on dogfunk...

burton tried to make a high end soft park liner (the Flex 2) this season; one that would be soft and flexy for jibs but also be able to ramp up support when needed... they failed miserably. after just one day, this liner was mush... after twenty, this liner was thrashed... i noticed after my first day on these that the liners started to pack out a lot more than normal... pack out mostly occurs in the heels and these liners were becoming increasingly thin in the heel area, so much so that i started feeling pressure from my binding heelcup; you could actually feel the plastic of the heelcup pusing up against your heel through the boot... the heel area of the liners are now paper thin (wouldn't be surprised if a hole started to develop) and almost all of the foam has worn through... also, the interior lining of the liner has begun to tear, revealing the inside foam... i don't see these boots lasting through the season... they are entirely too soft even just for park... they have no support whatsoever for any sized park features except your small to medium sized jibs... forget about taking these off any larger tables as you'll be playing russian roulette with your ankles... the only situation i can see using these happily is if you do a lot of urban street setup riding... burton has a lot of work to do to improve these 'park-specific' liners for 2010...

YEAH RIGHT!
