I am in my third season riding and bought a pair of atomic deed boots (about $165) when I started, I ride about 15 times a season and am an aggressive freerider and am thinking my boots may have had it.  How long do you find your boots last?  Any suggestions for a slightly stiffer boot in the 170 - 225 dollar range would be great.

probably heel lift and too much flex in the shell...but I'm no expert

if it's just heel lift, you can put in some aftermarket insoles with a wedged up heel and arch to maybe extend the life of the boot a bit

50 to 100 days depending on the boot.  Lace it up with out your foot in it and bend it in half, if this is easy then they are toast.

Hell my Soloman's are from 03 and their still gong strong with 200+ days of riding, I just have to keep replacing laces and some of cosmetics have fallen apart\off which I could care aless about.

I am growing tird of laces though, my next pair of boots will definetly have e twist lock boa deal.

EDIT: Like snurfer said above I did have to invest in a pair of 6$ heal lift partial short insoles from target to eliminate heal lift, shit at that price I can buy a couple a season if necessary.

Did you find the short insoles? If so, what are they called? I have really thin heels so no matter what boot I try, I get heal lift.

if your shell is still good and just your liner is shot you can usually get a new liner from the company that will fit in your boot. like if the models havent changed drastically they will still use the same shape of liner. my malamutes are 5 years old, the shell is still in good shape but i have changed the pro-fit liner 2 years ago and that made them brand new again. if you love your boots use them until they cant be used anymore.

murray_p, I have Malamutes as well, I have riden with them for about 40 days total this year and last. I have noticed that they have packed out a small amount. How long did you go before getting the new liners?

working as a terrain park manager. I'm in my boots 10-12 hours a day, 7 days a week. Spending a lot of time walking around shoveling and what not. Just last weekend I went 33 hours straight without taking my boots off.

that is what happened to my peter lines. 32 boots are shit. mine packed out 3 sizes and exploded in that same fashion in about 2 months of riding everyday.
