she keeps me awake when she does that...

sometimes you just gotta do it.  use it as a plus to improve your urban riding or something.  i'm sure since kendra has been out east here she has improved her 'park' abilities... try to find some advantage to where you live.  its all what you make it.

I won't move away from mountains unless I make enough dough to fly every other weekend during the winter.

I'm planning on moving to hollywood but I'll still be able to make trips to bear and mammoth so it won't be so bad.

I moved away from the mtns, after the NZ season ended, & moved back up to Auckland (NZ), & every day I regret my decision. There were a few factors as to why I had to move, but now I'm looking at moving back down to the area, but to a town that has a lot more infrastructure (Taupo), than where I was living (National Park Village).
If you can combine lifestyle, & a great job (or career), in or around a mtn resort, or town, then do it!

Well, living in th UK its worse as the closest mountains are in Scotland and im in the south of England, so its a 12 hour drive which is just as expensive as a flight to Europe for a snow hit, and only just affordable a couple of times a season or for two weeks.

Im now looking at doing a season in the Alpes for next winter so I can get some good riding in at least one year in my lifetime, and hopefully improve my riding a lot.

in the meantimeI have had to find other activities such as mountain biking, Wakeboarding and Football (soccer) to keep me occcupied, though recently I keep bloody injuring myself when doing them so have held back on them so I dont mess up my chances of being fit and injury free for my snowtime.

Savannah?...you've got a couple of pretty damn good surf spots within 30 minutes drive.  A lot of people would kill to live that close to decent warm water surf.

I used to live in Charelston, SC and know it gets good and offshore in that area more than people think.  Yeah, the water is really cold for a couple of months in winter, but air temps stay relatively mild.  Summer water is tropical warm and hurricane and tropical storm swells are primo and plentiful

Hopefully I'm back to within 50 mins drive, to the mtns, before I start instructing on weekends, again; I've over living in Auckland. It surely isn't my kind of lifestyle, anymore...!

when i moved away from the snow, i went travelling so i could keep my mind off it and i started djing...
after the olympics, i might try going back to Whistler once prices go back to just expensive and not REALLY expensive.

i havent gone riding since december 2007... its rough... i miss it... but im keeping my mind occupied with other things.

I just moved Gothenburg (Sweden) after doing a whole season (well THREE seasons) in Bad Gastein in the Austrian Alps. And right now it's killing me.. Miss it all like hell and it doesn't seem to be any easier than when I first left, I guess they say time's a healer.. I guess I should be happy I managed to do three seasons in my life so far hey? still doesn't forget the fact that I wanna go back everyday!

I just tried taking up skateboad and I tell you that is seriously hard, nothing like snowboarding and the falls are always so much worse...
we've been working hard trying to save all our money, when we get
there it better be glistening snow and sunny, all I know for sure
is that, I'm on my way.. I'm heading for the mountains..oh oh
