For the past year that i've been riding, i never had contact lens and used my goggles over my glasses. Needless to say it was the most uncomfortable, useless, and irritating thing. So i invested in some contact lenses for riding (and other sports) but mostly riding, in the hopes that I would be able to ride glasses-free.

I'm going on a long trip to killington in about a week for a few days and was wondering how well riding with contacts + goggles work. Is it comfortable? Do the contacts dry out quickly? any tips? do you guys end up using eyedrops?

any info?

Thanks a lot =]

I've never had any problems riding with contacts.  I do wear them all the time though.

my eyes usually get irritate/dried out when i wear them during normal daily use. HOWEVER when i ride i never notice them drying out or anything. maybe its the nice fresh air or something.... but either way you shouldnt have any problems

ride with a small bottle of contact lens rewetting solution in your pocket... that plus chapstick is essential riding gear

Never had a contact dry out while riding.  But I do wear goggles 100%  of the time.  But I have had them dry out playing baseball but usually only on dry, windy days.

I ride with contacts exclusively.  Rode for 5 hours yesterday and they didn't bother me at all (had the rewetting drops just in case, but didn't need them)

...tried the over the glasses goggles (OTG) and they were HUGE.  Felt like I was wearing an astronaut mask or something

the reason they dont feel dry with goggles is because your body creates moisture that the goggles dont entirely vent out.
youll be fine as long as you dont go riding without goggles in -10 with a -40 wind chill hauling down the hill
then youll have to get and ice pick and remove your eyeballs

anything you can do i can do switch

I have worn contacts for everything and snowboarding obviously. If you are used to wearing contacts you wont even notice.

same here. Very useful, I couldn't stand riding with glasses under my goggles.
I'd rather be snowboarding

I've never had any problems w/ glasses. In fact I feel much better w/ my contacts vs. glasses. No drying, sharper image. Glasses tend to fog up & scratch the inside of my goggles. If you use soft contacts make sure to look into the Acuvue 2 bi-weekly contacts.

I too wear Dailies and I love them.  I only wear contacts for sports, so these are the way to go. Unless you have a bad prescription I recommend these.
