Hi All,
I've got a question for the riders that get around in the US. I'm planning a 4 month trip to the states and I have to get in some snowtime. But, I am on a budget. Do you know any snowboard sites with good price/quality?
I'm an advanced boarder and do want some good riding, but I don't want to spend like 50$ a night on a bed I hardly see.
I'm crossing the entire country, so location doesn't really matter. If Canada is cheaper and still good quality, fine!

Where do all the budget boarders go?

Thanks, Erik

PS. yes I am aware of google... I just keep getting bombarded with the overpriced Aspen deals.

Ummm Canada is certainly better, bigger, and more plentiful snowfall terrain.  It also tends to be better priced.  I would skip the US and start looking there. So many killer places, with much smaller crowds.
If there is a more pointless place to argue than the web...
I don't know about it.

Go to the smaller, less known ski areas. Some of them aren't 'small' at all and have good terrain as well as under $40 lift tickets. I'd recommend the entire PNW...as well as certain places in BC and Alberta.

if location truly doesn't matter come to AK we've got sick terrain, good snow, and $50 lift tickets. but i'm guessing when you said location didn't matter you had forgotten about us up here. it's ok, most people do, and i'm fine with no lift lines

I'm with yip.
Good fucking luck finding a motel for under $50 that isn't dirty as fuck. Hostels will be your best option.

hey theres nothing wrong with hostels, i prefer them over hotels. unless your with people. just cause if your by your self it might give you a chance to ride with some people you just met.

US has hostels, but they're not nice like in europe.  The US hostels I've seen are full of a bunch of dirt bags and the rooms aren't very clean looking...haven't seen them all though
