So I'm gonna be jacking my mom's camera for my snowboarding trip this year and I don't know anything about cameras except how to look through the little lens shit and click the button. I just need help with the settings for taking pics outside while snowboarding during the day. How to set up night time settings would be a bonus but not much of a worry.

Camera: Canon PowerShot A630

So if you can go step by step how to setup the correct settings I'd be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

Im pretty sure that camera only has automatic settings, so you cant really play around with it too much, id say just take a few photos on the different settings and find which one has the best white balance for the conditions and just run with it.

I love when people get confused while using point and shoot cameras.  I thought the name of them was quite telling of how to use them.
