I HAVE A CANON 10D that i never use and i am going on a snowboard trip i would like to get some cool shots

could any experienced photographers help me with the settings i should be using on the camera so i dont have to waste time playing with the settings on the slopes.

i would like to adjust some settings now so i have more time to ride, i am a beginner photographer and trying to find good settings on the slopes will just take to long

i have a canon zoom lens EF 28-200mm 1 : 3.5-5.6  lens if that helps

thanks in advance

Settings on the camera depend on the lighting situation... If you are a beginner photographer then just use the auto mode.  With a 10d you will still get amazing shots, they just won't be like the ones you see in the magazines because they have tons of lighting set up and know exactly what to look for and what to do because they are professionals.  You can't just expect to get a DSLR and be an amazing photographer.  I'm not saying that this is what you expected but it is what some people think.

The best thing you can do is read the manual.  In it you can learn how to use every function of the camera.  A lot of people overlook it and think that they know how to work one or can figure it out but it is the easiest way to learn.
