I just moved to Hong Kong and now am looking for places to ride. I keep hearing that the boarding in Korea is crap--especially since Japan is right around the corner.

But now with the Korean won being at it's lowest in 10 yrs, is it now worth a trip? Can't be that bad, can it? Just want to hear some opinions from those who've been.

save your $$$ for japan for sure.. Korea has no powder and is basicly man made snow or natural ice...

Japan is one of the best places in the world for snowboarding.. you cant beat it..  i reccommend going there over korea even if it cost most.. totally worth it..

With the Yen going the opposite direction of the Won, I now need to save even more $$$ to go.

The way things are going, it may cost the same to do Europe.

i went snowboarding in korea a couple of winters ago and it was TERRIBLE. never again, my friend. for starters, the resorts that i went to were sooo crowded and the snow...what snow? it was like snowboarding on an ice skating rink.
