canon lens help

i have a canon 10D i am looking to get a lens to take on the mountians
a fisheye lens but im not sure as to how many MM i need it to be
i found some nice priced canon lenses

Zoom Wide Angle-Telephoto EF 28-90mm f/4-5.6 III Autofocus Lens - Black  but is 28-90mm too close or do i need like a 200 mm lens? advice please

go somewhere and set up as close or far away from something as you would set up to shoot a kicker or rail.  Take some pictures and see if you like how the feature will fill the frame
