you pretty much answered your own question there bud, but yea, whoever told u that was right forza 2 is best for most realistic, if you have ever played the pgr series pgr4 is pretty damn good. never played grid myself so i have no opinion on that. if you would like to venture into other types of racing i've played pure, and its an amazing  quad racing game ( 4 wheelers etc.. ), btw if you would like to game it up sometime hit me up my gamertag is sezorgy.

 

 good luck with finding the racing game for you, best bet is to rent a few before buying.

NFS has been hit or miss the whole time. NFS1 was good to open, 2SE kicked ass, 3 was first with cops and was bomb, Porsche Meh, NFSU was bomb for visual mods, NFSU2 was NFSU with free-roam, NFS:MW was the best yet, Carbon was crap, Pro Street was a POS. Theoretically they are due for a good one... I hope.

 

Outside that, Dirt and Grid demos were dope. Motorstorm gets repetitive but is fun in short bursts. Burnout Paradise was fun til they added bikes (bike challenges were shitty). I played the Moto GP '08 demo and hated it, you cant even keep the bike standing in realistic mode, let alone win a race.
