Hey,

There's a good chance that I'll be in living in Pemberton from January through to the middle or end of March.  I'm wondering how many people will be riding Monday-Friday at Whistler.  The midweek pass is so much cheaper and I don't want to be in Whistler for the weekends when it's really busy so this looks like a good option for me.  I just don't want to be riding alone all the time.

PS.  If any advanced/experts want to ride this season then get in touch.

im deffeniatly down for riding with you but weekdays probably are not going to work for me this year. where are you working when you move up here? you may be able to get a pass cheaper. if your employeer is a member of the chamber of commerce you can get a seasons pass for a little less then 1000 if you take the spirit course.

I won't be working at all because I've been saving a good chunk of money and my friend may be setting me up in his parent's Pemberton house for really cheap.

I'd have to return to Vancouver once in a while if I'm needed when work gets REALLY busy and also on weekends because I have other commitments on Saturday/Sunday.  I may be able to shift around my weekend stuff but the midweek pass is so much cheaper.  I need to save and cut corners wherever possible for the living without work for 1-3 months.

Oh darn man just wrote you an email!

that's why I haven't spoken to you that much lately, you've been working your bum off to save money to go riding for 3 full months. Good for you buddy, but not for me .

Guess I'll just have to find some other rides who want's to ride Cypress. Do you think I'll be having fun on Grouse? cause some other buddies and my colleagues are buying passes for Grouse.

Ah well hope to see before you're off the Pemberton.

Cheers

It looks like it's almost a lock that I'll be in Pemberton this winter.  I have the OK but just have to iron out a few details.

How busy are weekends at WB?  I've never been there on a Saturday or Sunday.  I don't want to be riding alone all the time so maybe I will spring for the full pass.

Does anyone have friends in Whistler who ride/ski midweek and might want to go with me?

if i were you, i would get a job and just work 2 days a week at a restaurant on weekends, only because you will meet alot more people that way....if you don't work... it will could be boring and your time wouldn't be as good.

I hear you on that, it's a good idea.  I'm just stuck because I have to be in Vancouver on weekends for a project I'm working on. I also made a deal with my boss that there would be no argument if work became super busy and I had to return to Vancouver to help out on weekdays.  Taking shifts at another job would likely end up conflicting with the other two things at some point.  I'm accustomed to ride alone anyway but it would be much better if I had some people to go with.

Hey,

I'll be riding during the week come January. Doesn't sound like I'm at your skill level yet but hopefully by mid season. As most of my friends are in a full semester I won't have a lot of people to ride with all the time.

Cheers

Breath deeply, suck it up and go for it!

Hello, I know this is the most of you are riding midweek but are there any riders who shred on weekends.

I live and work in Vancouver but have been renting in whistler for the last 4 years and lived in whistler for a season some time ago. This year my snowboard buddies decided to bail on whistler, so it leaves me with no one to ride with for this season. I have rode alone for a while years back but really like and get motivated shreding with others.

I wish I could ride midweek but my work schedule don't allow it....so does anyone ride on weekends?
