FYI it's Argentina, Los Andes and Buenos Aires. You don't want the "Pibes" to get pissed to you for poor spelling.... lol

lol you're one step ahead of me in the spelling comment man, that's so funny, since i am one of the pibes lol. Well aswering regarding winter or summer, i'd say both we got all four weathers in all four seasons. For instance, i live in BA, and i would say you get the most of the city in spring time, late september early october, i also think Rosario is better in spring or summer, lot o good looking chicks concentrated in a relatively small town. June-July thats the best of the winter season here, but let me give you two options, there's plenty more but i think this are the two oposites, San Carlos de Bariloche, that city during winter time has both good snowboarding and GREAT nightlife, and then you have San Martin de Los Andes, which from what i've been told has awesome backcountry, and good runs, but since it's a smaller town very few options when it comes to nightlife. I could always be wrong since it's been a long while since i've gotten fresh news. I would suggest you to look for people here in the community that live in those places, there's quite a few that live in Bariloche, ask them :) Hope it helped

Ehem... what kind of question is that??? Your'e in a snowboard forum... OF COURSE THE RIGHT ANSWER IS WINTER!!! Fuck summer! Too hot, too humid, too sweaty... oh, I forgot, TOO DAMN HUMID!!! BA shines in winter!!! A good resort? I would say Las Leñas or Bariloche in August (after 10th)... or, check out powderquest.com... they have really EXCELLENT "non-pibes" tours out on the mountain on powder quests or on resorts...
Hope you like our country, or as I like to call it, our nice little "zanja" (make sure to check out the meaning of this when you come here).

Cheers

I'm also planning on going to Bariloche or there about. What would be the best area to go to from Buenos Aires.

Hi..My name is Marcia, I have 18 years old, I live in San martin de los andes in Argentina, it´s near to Bariloche, is a place with fewer tourism, but it makes it more entertaining, the people of here are very nice and I have friends working in United States, i recommend to visit San Martin de los andes, to the hill Chapelco...

A lot of luck!!
