Does anyone know what the hire boards at Killington are like or what they are? I'm going with my school and aren't sure whether it's worth taking my own board
Anyone from Bristol who could give me a lift to any slope would be

I havent been there since the new owners took over, but I recall their rentals are pretty basic, beginner type stuff.  If board performance doesnt matter, you'll be fine.  There are a couple of rental shops on the access road that probably  have better equipment to rent.   You can probably arrange to rent in advance and have them deliver it to your hotel.  Check out Darkside, they're a pretty good shop and used to have some good demos to rent.

FWIW, I always think its worth it to take my own board.  The last thing you want to do is have a bad time b/c your rental sucked.  When I was in Utah last year, I broke my Canyon on day 2 of 8.  The rentals at the mountain and in the area wouldnt have be good enough for me, either to basic or too small (Im 6'3) So I had to drive an hour and a half to a shop that had high end demos to rent.

The great thing about the future is it always begins tomorrow.

If you already have a board, it kind of seems like a waste to spend money on a rental.

It's a school trip and booked as a package so everyone has already payed for hire and I can't get it refunded. If I were to bring my own board I'd have to buy a bag.

My board is really cheap and not that great but I have nice bindings and have it set up perfectly. If the hire boards are good it's not worth me spending more money to bring a worse board

Thanks, so it's a  beginner board to help people learn to turn.

I think I'll take mine
