Broken Social Scene was awesome live. Saw them at Sled Fest in Calgary. The weather was great, the beer was cold and the band was jamming. They filled the stage with a couple of dudes on brass as well as your expected bandmembers. The only disappointing factor was they didn't play longer. Chick Diggit also played and proved to be a great little pop-punk band. Catchy tunes, and the lead singer has a good personality and really interacts with the crowd a lot.

Saw 50 and G-Unit at another outdoor concert in Calgary and to be honest wasn't expecting much but it turned out to be a really good show. The crowd was really up for it and 50 has a strong stage presence and you can tell he's enjoying himself up there. It's always good when you aren't expecting much and it turns out to be a great time.

Those are probably the two best I've seen so far but Vans Warped Tour hits Calgary this weekend and I'm looking forward to seeing a lot of those acts, Angels and Airwaves in particular. I doubt they'll be as good as Blink was live, but we'll see.

I just wanted to let you all know I was in the front row behind thousands of people for Radiohead, and got drunkenly ragetastic at Rage Against the Machine. I also managed to get first row for Modest Mouse, A3, Crystal Method, and Bloc Party, while was kind-of-close for Girl Talk, Snoop Dogg, Flogging Molly, and NIN.

shit, this summer was pretty epic when it came to music things.

EDIT: I would also like you all to know I snuck in for all of Lollapalooza, so I saw Rage, Radiohead, Bloc, GT, Flogging and NIN for $0. fuck the police!

Actually, you should be more concerned about all the music on my computer! Metallica would go apeshit.

And also, I am forgiving you for your bitterness, as you didn't know I had previously bought a 3-day pass ticket for $200.

get the sand out of your twat, wheels.

huge corporate shows like that have enough sponsors to make sure the bands are getting paid regardless of who sneaks in.

so basically, fuck the police and fuck you too.

saw jack johnson with rogue wave and culver city dub collective last night. rogue wave sucked dick but other than that the show was kick ass. Except for all the little 10 years olds there with their parents.

aren't you like, 30 or something?
what do the police have to do with this? after all this time, it appears you still can't read properly. maybe it's time to get hooked on phonics. good luck, man. illiteracy in adults really gets me down.

"fuck the police" was a reference to chelly's original post: she snuck into lollapalooza, which i'm sure paid-duty police were guarding...hence "fuck the police", which is also the title of a majorly popular song by NWA.

i hardly think it appropriate for you to accuse me of "illiteracy" when your reading comprehension skills are so obviously deficient.

PS: Anyone under the age of 40 knows that song, unless they live under a rock.

I'm quite aware of the aforementioned song, but referencing a different post while attacking my post, and then expecting me to read your pathetic excuse for a mind is incredibly asinine.  let's not get into  a grammar war, I hate seeing  old  men cry.

While this isn't between you and I, I'm inclined to speak on it 'cuz you're haughtiness is annoying. If you know anything about writing, you know that shooting up your chronicles with adverbs, redundant adjectives and four syllable words is a sign someone's trying too hard. A la Ernest Hemingway... But that's just my two cents.

P.S. - fuck the police
