2008 Endeavor Colour 157 Wide... With Rome 390's

I only got to ride this board for 2 days at the end of the season and it was strictly park all day with one or two runs out of the park but the conditions were either ice or hard pack. I got this board because I was looking for a soft jib board for big feet. And this board has you covered up to size 15. Seriously it is extremely wide 264.  That’s as wide as my 163 powder board. So I was a little worried.

This board is built pretty solid, twin tip has Rockwell 48 edges which are suppose to be the strongest and are very thick. Has an extruded base for easy repair. Shotgun inserts 4x2 and six inserts. Stance is centered and range is 20.4 - 25.2 / 51.9 - 63.9.1 year warranty. This board has a lot going for it but it is heavy so you might want to get some leg muscles.  Oh yea YOU GET TO COLOR IT!!! But contest ended April 2008.

When I first got on it I was surprised at how well it did on jumps. I was having problems all day on my Rome Machine clearing about a 10 foot jump, because the conditions were so bad, but I went for it with the colour and cleared it with no problems. This board has decent pop for a jib board. And when it comes to jibs it does great. I’m not sure how much the edges are beveled if any. But it would go over boxes so easy and jut felt different from any other board I have rode. Presses are pretty easy on it but for being endeavors softest board it isn’t ridiculously soft, might be because it’s not broken it yet. But it has similar almost identical flex patterns as the machine. And I’m going to say similar flex to the artifact but stiffer.

When I took it out of the park I was getting frustrated because every time I would try to spin off stuff I would catch a edge on the landing. Just doing simple 180’s was difficult. But the conditions were horrible, and I am sure that a 264 waste width doesn’t help. I think a detune would help solve this problem. My personal preference is dull edges all the way around, for a somewhat loose feel but I never had it done to the colour yet.

Here are some picture and hopefully a video of me eating it on a rail… Yea I love Aqua Teen Hunger Force and I suck at drawing so I chose the easiest ones to draw.. I think it turned out ok...

it made me light headed for a few minutes and then i had a killer head ache on the way home. the rail caught my jaw bone and cut it a little. i'm just glad i didn't bite my tongue off.  my friend thought i was hurt, so he ran over to check on me.. kinda wish he kept recording so i could see my reaction.
