How's things in you world anyway? Looks like I am getting back to working on the house again...
Home mostly.
That's great, how's the house coming? I still haven't been out except that once. Season sucked for me. I'm praying to get 1 more weekend in before its all over. If I make it out there I'll give you a buzz.

Hey hey Ray Ray!!! I'm in the D!!!
Left Vegas, moved to Seattle, and am in Detroit now to move stuff out west.
Sorry to hear you didn't get out much this winter. If the heat there gets too bad this summer, come on up to Seattle and visit. We should have good snow well into July.
On a realestate side note..
We just put in an offer on a house a couple of days ago. They came back with a counter offer of MORE then they where asking in the first place!!!! I thinks they are a bit confused on who's market this is.. Debating how much I want to play games with these people... I might just counter counter with less then my first offer. Maybe drop them a note in a year when they still haven't sold and tell them they should have taken the first offer.

Hey brother. What's up? I might take you up on that.
I'll bring the beer. You know what, forget I said that, I might go Bankrupt on that deal. LOL....
Look for another place. There are so many foreclosures here that it isn't even funny anymore. Look for a better deal. There are probably 20 you will come across.
I agree, counter with an even lower price. Joke them if they can't take a f---...

Thanks. I've already done the HD nightmare special back in Detroit. Don't want to do that again. This is house #2... Move in ready, no work needed. Girl can change the paint colors if she wants, and she's the shopper too. My opinion doesn't matter, but I am sure eventually I'll get roped into something.
I rolled through your town about a week ago.. Stayed the night at the rest area in bozangeles, and then straight to Seattle... Detroit to Seattle in 53 hours... 48 of it driving.

AHhaaha,, my foot was mashed to the floor most of the time. Had the moving truck maxed out, pulling a trailer with a pickup on it, alss loaded full... poor little truck could barely keep at 65. HAd to get back to seattle so my girl could go bowling....in Michigan.
I did have a pair of cross country skis and a dog sled.

I heard you can get a house in Motown for like $1,000 and a pack of gum these days.

So seriously where's everyone.
Ale,
I know I'm a few months late, but congrats. Hope you're settled in by now.

I'm crazy ridiculous late Ale, but congrats on the house and all. My lady and I are looking right now, and I hafta tell you...people still think they're sitting on a goldmine. We've put in bids on two houses so far, and walked on both when the owners refused to negotiate. And these are people who have had their homes on the market a year or better...
At any rate..I agree with killclimbz...ready for the snow to fall as well. (I only got out twice last year)

Thanks guys!
All settled in and loving it here. After taking the summer off of work I just got a new job dong the same ol. Slow economy isn't showing here. It's crazy busy!
Hear that Ray? You should try and score another job in the Seattle area, but make it to the mountains a little more this time. If you do happen to make it this way, drop me a line.
I am going to get some pictures for Konk's home town thread. Hopefully it won't take me too long.
And throw a six pack in with that $1,000 and you have deal!!! Kidding, because even more good news, I got rid of my house in the D.
Keep enjoying your summer guys.. catch you in teh winter
