Whats up peeps!

heading to Niseko in January 2009 for 3 weeks! all i know about the place is that the Pow is sick as!!! can't wait... so question is for anyone who has been there:

1) whats the terrain park like? is there one? basically just want to ride the pipe and hit some big kickers!
2) any back country boarding available?
3) where are the best spots to ride on the mountain?

Cool one, thanks for you 2 cents peeps!

Jaz :)

I was there in February for 4 days and had shitty weather. day one you could not see 5 feet in front of you. day 2 snowed all day but no fog. and day 3 the entire resort was closed because of strong winds. and the place still kicked ass.

They have one big terrain park called the quick silver stomping grounds 100 meter half pipe jumps jibs a bus here is the lay out

there’s a lot of back country there. You can go to the top of the mountain and get to back country access. There’s drop offs and natural kickers every where.

Here is a trail map of the 3 resorts. We pretty much hung out at the grand hirafu and had a great time. You will be there 3 weeks so you shouldn’t have a hard time finding good spots.

one other question... when accessing back country is there an easy way to get back?  how do you get back to the resort?

Hi , Jaz

I am living Ebetsu city just 1.5 hours away from NISEKO area.

If you want do back country snowboarding , go to TISE-NUPURI area.
You would not  see any tourists from outside japan there .

You can get fresh track there .
