I'd be down except the entire distance thing. AWK is the MAN. And speaking of party till you puke, I dare you all to take the AWK challenge. Listen to party hard and everytime it says party, take a shot. You'll be hurling by the second chorus I promise.

So who went last night? I DID! Haha, I had never seen him live before, it was awesome. Priestess was a special guest and they kicked ass. There was an Andrew W.K. look-a-like contest which brought about 20 bloody people up on stage...then Andrew came out and everyone went wild. He started to perform and the 20 people on stage turned into 50 or 60 and it was crazy. He just kept performing as more people came on stage. It didn't even faze him. I understand his party hard moto! Wicked concert, he puts on a good show. Oh, and I love how he went crowd surfing out into the crowd. Awesome!

I'm 99% sure that wasn't even Andrew W.K.

1) There have been rumors flying around for a while about a "switch" - apparently he even confirms it in an interview, but it was like an hour long and I didn't listen to the whole thing

2) They said he was a look-alike.. he was the winner of the contest

3) Andrew W.K.'s voice is raspier than that when he talks, and lower than that when he sings

4) He's not that skinny (although he could have lost weight)

5) I don't think his nose is that big

6) I didn't see one big jump - now the stage was full, so maybe he couldn't. But he also never hit himself in the head like he always does a thousand times during a show

7) He didn't know the words to "We Want Fun" - he kept just yelling "hey!" and "we want fun!"

8) He kinda looked younger

9) The real AWK has a tattoo on one of his biceps.. just a line.. this dude didn't - they even pointed out tattoos for the look-alike contest

Now, I'm not 100% sure, so maybe it was him, and the tattoo was just marker in those pictures and he's lost weight, and his voice changed etc etc. But honestly, having seen him live a bunch of times before, I really really REALLY hope that that wasn't him.. because that show was a HUGE let down. (No offence to TheTank - I'm sure it was a great time for first-timers, but that show had NOTHING on seeing him with a band.. and he can normally sing to a degree of sounding *something* like what he sounds like on the CDs)

I didn't have a good time. But maybe that was just because my expectations were high. But honestly, aside from the stage, I've never seen such a still AWK show - normally everyone.. EVERYONE is moving. And there were a lot of people (me included) just standing there..

I hope you guys realize that you've been to the greatest event that ever happened in history. I mean, come on, Priestess AND Andrew WK, that's effin' sick.
