it is very interesting / disturbing to hear the insights and POVs of those involved in the early days of the Iraki invasion, now that they have left their posts, that their superiors have left their posts and the risk of legal punishment is undermined by the public upswell of condemnation of US policy in Irak (not to mention UK policy too).
there have been a series of shows on BBC, (granted a channel whose reputation for credability has been shaken lately) which nevertheless stars a number of 'personalities' from the US and the UK and highlights the apparent friction in between them....
Paul Bremner for example not making the UK representative aware of Bush's surprise visit to Baghdad on the basis of 'security', despite most of the Iraki council being invited...... as a minor but nonetheless telling example of 'rudeness'.
anyways, i dunno if these shows are ever likely to be online or internationally aired, but the one i saw last night was called 'No Plan, No Peace'.
strict conspiracy theorists needn't bother as this is all 'from the horse's mouth' and i do not think there has been an effort of Michael Moore-esque editing neither; just cold, chilling evidence of profound incompetence and arrogance.
if anyone cares, i can try find the titles of the other pieces too.....?
