1: When asking for advice, please help us out by handing us your stats necessary for determining size, meaning
-Weight - Needed to determine board length.
-Boot size - Needed to determine whether or not you need a narrow, normal, mid-wide or a wide board.
-Style of riding - Is it freeride or freestyle, or a bit of both? - Give us an estimate of how you spend your days on the mtn.
-Ability - Be honest and tell us how good you think you are.
Optional: Do you prefer a stiffer or a softer board?
Height can play a role in stance width and other factors...but remember you DO NOT choose a board length based on the chin to nose factor.

2: When replying to posters asking for board advice, do this:
-Ask for any of the above if not mentioned by thread starter, be friendly.
-Name boards you´ve demoed, have owned or do own presently, if you think they might be suitable for his/her style or ability.
 You do not, however:
-Recommend snowboards you´ve never demoed/ridden, and cannot back up with your own experience
-Give advice based on graphics or just specs. Specs are numbers, not always interpretable to the surface which we all love. Graphics are mostly fancy drawings.

Please keep it around these two points.
For personal comments and/or little flame wars, they don´t have crap to do with snowboarding equipment, so if there´s a beef around, contact the member you´re pissed at, and if it gets ugly, notify a moderator.

This applies to bindings, boots and outerwear, too.
