In the fact that the Freeriders and Hikers Section
in case of
snowboarding stands in the back and boards and gear for Freeriders and
Hikers are rare to find on the big testevents and the possibility to
get a testride, split- and longboards generally get more and more in
the background, ProRider Ralph Castelberg
(Initiator www.First-Tracks.org
) decided to organize the first European Snowboard Freeride
Test called the “Freeride-Days”, upcoming January (26th-28th 2007) in
Davos.
This
Test is open to the public and riders can test on the testdays
(saturday & sunday) some of the best freeride boards available on
the market.

of 47.-sFr. per day to explore one of the biggest freeride specified
Mountains of Switzerland.
Besides the testing of the newest
Freeride Snowboards there will be a high-end
Avalanche Training Field where you can
train with you
Transciever or test the newest Generation of the Tracker TDS .
The Instructors Team of the Mountain Surf
Club will go freeriding with
you and show you how to judge the avalanche risks and check if a run is
to dangerous or save to ride.
The SLF (Swiss
Federal Institute for Snow and Avalanche Research) will
be up at the Mountain during the Freeride-Days as well to answer your
questions and show you some of the latest Reseach News including a
presentation of the all new white risk Information CD.
On saturday the SLF (Swiss Federal Institute for Snow and Avalanche
Research) will do a Presenation in
advance of the party for all who might be interested. (18:30 SLF, Flüelastr. 11 -> minimum of 15 PPL requied to be hold...)
The Entrance
is
for free , as the party later on will be too.
And to exchange ideas, news and party with your friends, the pros and
the locals, there will be some party´s and live concert´s in
town :
On Friday we´ll party at the wallhalla (promenade 102, Davos) doing a
come together party including a punkrock or hardrock concert and on
saturday the main party for the riders will launch at the top secret
bar (talstrasse 12, Davos) including a jam-session by local band and
good vibrations from our DJ.

Accommodations:
As it's well known prefer many riders to sleep in a camper, a
bus or
the car, davos has an official camping in davos-glaris (close by the
rinerhorn) afor the freeride-days will it be possible to PARK the car/caravan/bus for FREE on the pischa parking and sleep there
