You want to see someting romantic and overwelming? visit paris!
on the 1th of august me and nessa, a good friend of mine, left by train to visit paris for a week. the fastest way to move around is by metro, so we decided to buy a 'carte orange', because this is much cheaper(16 euro's) than other ways. arriving at the little 'hotel l'est', we dropped our bags and went to this little lunchplace called 'les deux signes'. the boyfriend of my best friends niece works there so we had someone to chat with and asked what we shouldn't forget to visit. after this nice lunch we went buying postcards for our friends in holland and egypt. we went to the hotel, after a nice dinner in saint michel.
the next day we climed the tour eiffel! it was soo big and I just fell in love with the beauty and the greatness of the construction. after resting in the park next to it, we went back to the hotel because we were exhausted.
on day three we went to the louvre. it is so pretty inside and there is much too see. we visited the mona lisa also talked with a nice girl from spain who worked there. if you go to the louvre, don't forget to buy water and food before you get there, because it is verry verry expensive! after four and a half hours of walking we went to the champs-elisee were we had dinner at mc donalds.
the fourth day was shopping day! at first we visited the notre dame and lited a candle for my grandparents. afther tis we went to lafayette to shop. this shopping mall is soo big, you can spent the whole day there! it has 7 floors and ow my god... it is just amazing! at night we went to the eiffel tower again to see the lights at ten o'clock. you should see this if you visit paris. it is the most beautiful thing there is.
you haven't seen france if you don't let people make a drawing of you... so after visiting the sacré coeur, a french artist made a nice portret of me(which is on my wall now... it is lovely!). we walked around a bit just to see some normal french streets and we also found the moulin rouge and a little cafe(for the ones who has seen 'le fabuleux destin d'Amelie Poulain'), called 'café des deux moulins', were we had some chocolade chaud. in the eavening we had dinner again in saint michel.
on our last day we were so tired of walking and having no sleep that we just went to a park in les halles after eating some crêpes, and stayed there until we had to leave to catch our train. we were just on time(2 minutes left), before the train leaved so we could jump in and to back home...
It was a fantastic week with lots of nice things to see and to do. if you want to go somewhere, go to paris!
