And tomorrow I will be a college graduate! FINALLY!!! I will have my degree in Interactive Media Design. Anyone need a Web Designer? I'll be out of a job in September :-/

I'll be back from CO late Tuesday night, and then Wednesday I'm on my way to Africa!! I'll be in Kenya for 10 days teaching orphan kids about God and love and all that good stuff.

I'll be back April 10th. Time to go travel and celebrate my graduation now!

Yesterday I rode with Annie at Tyrol Basin. I was wearing bunny ears & she was wearing her bat wings! It was my last day of the season here in the midwest, since I'm leaving for 2 weeks and everything will be closed when I come back. I bid farewell to my favorite jump, the jump we have called "Julie's Jump" all season. It had been rebuilt, with a much better, smoother landing, but a smaller gap and the lip didn't boot me straight up like it used to. It was still nice and lots of fun, but I miss the old booter on it. I worked on my melon some more, did it a few times but couldn't get it right when the camera was rolling. I also tried to do a double grab as close to the nose as I could get, but I couldn't get very close, in fact I could only get it close to my foot, but I was at least getting both hands on there every time. I'm going to keep working on that one. Annie had some really nice hits on the 40-ft flat rail, got a couple videos of her clearing the whole thing. We also ran into Coco and she was hitting my jump too. She had one bad fall on it that I actually missed because I was getting myself in place to record Annie. My last few runs were pretty crappy and I was bummed with my very last hit, but it was still a good day, had lots of fun, and I am already missing my jump. Oh well, I guess now I'll just have to settle for Vail ;-)

I was supposed to ride with Annie & Forrest today, but they were having problems with their rental car & spent the whole day waiting for someone to come give them a replacement car, and I finally left & went riding by myself at Crashcade. It was sooooooo boorrrrrriiiiing. Tomorrow I'll be riding with Annie at Tyrol so it should be much more fun & make up for today.

6 DAYS UNTIL I'M IN CO AGAIN!

7 DAYS UNTIL I GRADUATE!

11 DAYS UNTIL I LEAVE FOR AFRICA!

Spent the weekend in WI with Annie & Forrest. Saturday we started at Crashcade, made 2 runs, then they were closing everything off for a comp. so we went over to Devil's Head. The snow there was the slowest I've ever ridden - so slow it'd bring you to a complete stop with your board pointed straight down the hill. We finally figured out where the faster snow was and had some fun, & later in the day all the snow got much faster so it was all good. Started working on my melon again, although I couldn't get much air :( Sunday we rode Crashcade with Jake & got some pretty good videos. We mostly rode the pipe all day, & I'm getting more comfortable on my toe edge in the pipe but I still can't do anything but carve the wall off my heel edge. It was nice to ride again with my midwest riding buddies :)

3/17:

7 DAYS UNTIL I'M IN CO AGAIN

8 DAYS UNTIL I GRADUATE

12 DAYS UNTIL I GO TO AFRICA

My first day riding back in the midwest after 2 weekends and 8 days in CO. Went to Devil's Head, but after riding trees and powder the last two weeks I didn't really feel like riding the park. Made a couple runs through, but spent the rest of the time trying to find something steep. Found a fun black diamond run with a few rollers, but it was so short it wasn't worth the long chair ride up. Spent some time working on my switch riding and buttering my muffin. Snow was slushy and super slow, I couldn't even get any speed over the jumps. Ahh well I knew the first day back would be depressing. 3 more weeks and I'll be riding in CO again, aaahhhhh

3/10: 2 WEEKS TILL I'M BACK IN COLORADO!
