Spent another 4 days riding in CO at Breckenridge and Beaver Creek. Thursday morning I woke up at 3am Central Time, flew to CO, and met up with my friend Zeke in Breck. The first thing we did was hike to the top of Imperial and ride down the lake chutes - holy friggin steep! And the 2nd thing we did was hike the Windows. Not bad for a flatlander eh! 2nd day my friend Ray flew in from CA for his first time ever snowboarding, but he got altitude sickness and had to take his first day off. I hiked the Windows again that day. Day 3 Ray took a lesson and I went with my new man Brian over to Beaver Creek so he could show me the mountain. BC is fun! And I got the video shot I have been wanting for the past 2 years - I laid under a rainbow log and shot Brian going over me. What an awesome shot. Day 3 Ray took a lesson again - he is really picking it up fast, way better than I was on my 2nd day. I rode with Brian and a couple of his friends at Breck, and we took the most horrible long hike up to the Ballroom. Must have taken me an hour to make that hike, and some parts of it were so steep I was crawling on my hands & knees while Brian carried my board. There was some great powder up there, but not worth the hike. My legs were like jello after that and for whatever reason I decided to try and ollie off a tiny roller, thinking I wouldn't even have energy to pick up my front foot, but I somehow pulled 3 feet of air off it. Felt great & I was on again. Then I made everyone hike the Windows with me - yeah the flatlander making all the locals hike, you know it! After that it was time for me to go. Ski traffic was a nightmare and I ended up missing my flight, so I had to stay in a hotel and catch an early flight the next morning, but it was all good b/c Brian had to fly out also in the morning for work, so he came and stayed with me :) Can't wait to see and ride with him again next month. I miss CO :( Check out the pictures and videos!

Rode Breck all 4 days. What an awesome time!!! I literally got my butt kicked by the mountain, my butt is bruised from riding the T-bar. I hate the T-bar! Hit my first log ride, although it was really small. I also finally met Brian, the guy I've been talking to since last April! I have a new boyfriend now :) Rode with Brian and a couple of his friends, and my friend Zeke. Got some good video footage of Zeke and Brian in the pipe. Both of them are riding with cracked ribs, and Sunday in the pipe Zeke re-cracked his, then went & played hockey that night, ouch! Nice to ride with Zeke again, since he is the guy who taught me how to snowboard 4 years ago - I still have no idea where he finds that much patience. He & Brian are definitely the best I've ever ridden with. I was proud for being able to keep up with Brian & his friends (till we hit the trees that is), but I still can't keep up with Zeke, not even on the green groomers :( He worked me over on the double black diamond tree runs, but I finally learned how to make steep powder turns so it was all good. There's no such thing as steep powder turns here in the midwest...or powder turns....or steep anything. My 2nd day there I hiked to the top with Brian. From 500 feet in Chicago to 13,000 feet on top of Breck - I thought I was going to die, I couldn't breathe! I'll be back out there for another beating this Thursday-Sunday, can't wait!! I posted 14 new pictures & 9 new videos, check 'em out!

AWESOME WEEKEND! Spent the weekend in WI riding with Annie, Forrest, Erik, his wife Jen, & Coco...and Sans in spirit, although her season was cut short by a knee injury, we went in to say hi to her and she looked much better than we expected. We rode Devil's Head Saturday - good day, despite catching my nose on a box and then wrecking & hurting my knee & arm. Saturday we headed over to Tyrol - they just built their pipe last week so we made some runs through it, & my jump has been rebuilt with a slightly bigger launch & longer landing. It felt tons better than last weekend when I hurt myself on it. I was so on today! Annie & Forrest were stomping the crap out of the rails, Erik was hitting some boxes and jumps - and he was the only one to hit the C box at DH! And we even got Jen & Coco to start hitting some stuff. A great weekend for all, and an awesome note for me to end on before I go to Colorado - 5 more days baby! Pictures and videos to come...

Woke up at 5 friggin 30 this morning to go get 1st chair at Tyrol Basin, because I worked tonight & had to leave the hill at 1:30. Well, I did some damage today. I think I may have overshot my jump, and landed really hard on my butt, then slammed my head and everything went black & I heard this really weird noise, sort of a combo between a THUMP and a SWOOSH. I only blacked out for a second, then the world looked like it was bouncing up and down as I tried to get out of the landing quickly. I took a break and could barely walk - my tailbone still hurts when I walk. I was about to leave but ran into Annie & stuck around for a while, but didn't hit my jump again, just hit the small boxes. Last run down though Annie & Erik were pressuring me to hit my jump again, & I was really scared, but I did it and I stomped it baby!! Thank God. Going back tomorrow. And now I'm going to sleep.

Sunday 2/5 - Didn't get to ride today, spent the whole day in bed with the stomache flu :(

Ladies' night at Raging Buffalo - went for a little evening park session. I've been working on 180s and have really wanted to try a 360, and thought tonight might be the night for it. Oh boy was I wrong. The snow was so bad there were bumps going into all the jumps - yes bumps! My 2nd run I did a 180 and landed on the lip of a friggin' pothole, & fell into the pothole so hard my goggles fell down and scratched my face, so I have a lovely red mark on my face now. I also hit the big jump and one of the other jumps but all the bumps threw me off balance and I couldn't even do a grab, much less try a 360. I think I'm done with Raging Buffalo. Going back to Tyrol and my favorite jump this weekend.
