The 2008~09 season was incredible. We had a whole bunch of cool and
unique guys and girls train with us this season and a lot of returning
campers pushing their limits as well. Big backcountry jump days, deep
powder runs, terrain park improvement, Core night park action, secret
pillow fields, cornices, tree runs...you name it, we did it all.
From novice riders sliding boxes and riding powder for the first time
to seasoned returning campers grabbing their inverts, sticking larger
cliffs and every level and experience in between.Good times, great memories, huge improvement and the end of the season video to prove it.
From all of the staff and coaches - A huge “Thank You” to all of the
great campers who allowed us to be a part of their winter season! It
was an amazing season with all of you guys here and keep riding on.

Good times in the backcountry. Some of the crew took their Level 1 Avalanche
course, so we set out for a backcountry trip to build a road gap,
ride some pillow fields and spend the night in a cool cabin.
No roads for hours, no tracks but our
own and we were surrounded by huge mountain peaks. After building a
nice road gap jump, we hit it until well after sundown. Then we rode
back to the front door of the cabin and chilled for the night. Good
food, good music and great company.
We woke up to about 15cms of fresh snow overnight. After a pretty funny
cook up on the stove, we headed out to ride a powder pillow
field for the day.

It just keeps getting better. Mother nature has surprised us this year and this video is part of the outcome so far. Great conditions and cool campers from all around the world to share the stoke with. Everyone's been pushing their limits and learning something new, everyday, every week, every month. We're stoked to have Etienne Gilbert as one of our newest Pro coaches. Etienne
brings to Core Camps a ton of experience as he's Camp of Champion's
head coach in the summers. Etienne moved from Quebec to Whistler in
1998 and has since risen to become one of Canada's top Pros. He's had
sick video parts throughout the last decade and more recently with
Sandbox and Sugar Shack. Snowboard Canada also just did a 10 page story/interview about Etienne in their 2009 Buyer's guide issue. Welcome to the team.

We just finished our most amazing winter camp season so far. The snow conditions were great all season and lots of powder. Lots of cool campers joined from all over the world – Canada, U.S.A., England, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, France, Brazil, Japan, Australia, Brunei and more... Thanks to all of the great guys and gals who joined the camp this winter – we will miss you and hope to see you again. It’s difficult to explain with words about what we do and the fun we have at the camp so I have attached our 2008 video Enjoy and see you this winter.
