Hey I finally hit the slopes!! Went to Silver with a bunch of friends from work yesterday. It was a good time, I actually didn't suck as much as I thought I would considering I haven't been on a board in 2 years.  The only downers were having to get up at 5am and the fact that one of the group fell open handed and dislocated her wrist, so yeah we had to get off the mountain and drive her the 4 hours back down to Lewiston so she could go to the hospital.  Other than that it was a good time though :)

Hey there, holy long time no talk.  I've been so busy getting my life set up down here in Clarkston.  Plus I have like a zillion of these online community things I belong to it's hard to stay current with all of them.  So how are things up the hill?  You guys are gettin' dumped on right?

Hey...I am still in Spokane, graduated back in May, and cannot wait to get out of here. I am applying to Med schools right now so wish me luck. Hopefully i will be teaching this year but that depends on if i get a new job so i don't have to work the weekends. Glad to hear you are doing good. Hopefully we will get snow this year so we can actually ride.

You may be right, However I am going to tell you a secret, There are no Momos in Park City. It is a little known fact. Dont tell anyone or PC will turn into Aspen. PC is rich but so is Tahoe, JH, Aspen, Vail, and Steamboat Springs. So you will need to keep this in mind. Yes people going to any of these destenation resort will tip well. The bace pay is what you will make the bank. You live on tips and deposit the pay check. The Canyons base is higher than any of the Tahoe resorts.

But I remember how you handled red corvet man at the AASI/PSIA dance/Partey at SMR. You could make alot of $ off men like that. In any town, anywhere. I am not trying to sell you, just shareing my exp. I do love PC, JH , and Steamboat Springs, I could live happy in any of these towns, and I am sure Tahoe but I have never been there.

I want you to think about the diff from MT spokane or SMR to a destination resort. Where people are there to spend $ for a good time, The Canyons is selles my time @ $120 per hour, with people booking me for a week at a time. I made more in tips over the 2 week of X-mass then the year at mt spokane. You can make enough teaching if you are good at geting people to ask for you, selling privites, and saveing $. You can take 8 months off. Thats cool! I have done that for two years. I also have been riding more in the last two winters than most people do in there life-time. I have had more pow than most people dream of and made $ doing it. It is a good life.

I know you will have the time of your life where ever you go.

Thats cool. I know UT is not the first place you want to go, however with your resume and indorsements form Jonie and myself you could get the lessons you want @ the canyons They will take anyone trained @ Mt Spokane, with open armes! It is one of the best paying MT in north america. But it is in UT, on the other hand PC is more like CO. than UT. If you want to teach that is a good option. If you dont, you can get a job pooring drinks anywhere, driveing taxi is also a great way to support a snowboarding habit.

Working a bar will give you tips, if you are a server, busing not as much. With all day to ride but lots of late nights. It will also introduce you everyone in town with a Coke problem. But you have all day to ride.
