I feel like a beginner again

Wednesday, January 30, 2008
So a few weeks ago, I decided to learn how to ride park.  I had done a few little jumps years ago but thought that it would be fun that when I rode with the guys and they went through the park, I could actually hit stuff too.

3 weeks, and many many bruises later, I'm trying to figure out how things work.  I have days like today when I can't even do a 50/50 properly.  Then I have days like last week when I was charging through the park and hitting the rails, boxes, barrel jib and jumps without a second thought.  I'm starting to think that park riding is all psychological. I need to get over my little fears and just do it.

Oh, and i need to bend my knees.  I'm such a lazy rider.

hahahaha!!  That's great sis.  I agree with the comment about the knees...practice practice  heh

seriously, I totally blank out sometimes, I just don't have enough focus on some days.  But I will hit anything, I don't care, only lately when it's been icy do I fear breaking something.

Keep at it though.  I could use some form myself lady, so don't feel bad.

You know what I'm gonna say about those knees hahahaha, oh wait, I'm the one that keeps saying that.
Park is psychological, I've got my mental blocks too but I'm working on fighting through them and improving my park and overall freestyle riding. I'm generally a steezey rider but sometimes in the park I look like a puppet with all broken movements. It just takes practice.

I wish I was little bit taller, I wish I was a baller,
I wish I had a girl who looked good, I would call her
I wish I had a rabbit in a hat with a bat and a six-four Impala
