Now what....

Tuesday, May 15, 2007
So it looks like the 3 jobs I applied to in Whistler went internally.... now I have to rethink my plans for the next year.
This is only the second job I applied for and didn't get. The first was a summer student AutoCAD designer when I was 15.. and I came second in that process.... yeah, I've been spoiled with the jobs I've had.. working in France, England, the Dominican, Whistler, so I guess I had the dissapointment coming.  If only it was for some job I didn't want instead of THE most perfect job ever!!

I'm a huge believer in fate.. and now i'm starting to think that maybe this isn't the right choice for me right now.  It's killing me to say it, because I want to be out there so bad... and it was heart breaking to know that the jobs I wanted are gone.  So now my big decision is... just go out there and get some other job while waiting for something else to open up later in the year, or stay here where I can have a full time with benefits make lots of money job.

someone make up my mind for me.....

True believer in fate, you know that.
I think you need to keep your options open for a minute and see what happens, don't make plans to do anything right away, just go with it when it happens.  You will end up where you are suppose to be, no matter what.  I have always believed that.  It's only when we decide to take our fate into our own hands that we have hard times and regret.

Wow, all the planets must be lined up or something cos everyone I know seems to be making big decisions.....
Go with your gut, you're young enough to recover financially and emotionally if its the wrong move.....

well, as you may or may not know... i'm a big believer in what you call fate.. not sure that i call it that or not, but i just feel that things have a way to sort themselves out... as jr said, something positive will come of it.. i just hope its even better than your original plans.

in the end, you have to do what makes you happy.  from wehat i know of you.. id say whistler is where you need to be.  hell... do you think i'm a born roofer?... because thats what i'm doing now... and i wouldn't trade it for a great job if it meant i couldn't be where i am now... you have your mountains... i have.. well.. you know!  do what makes you happy... not just the job part, but the life part...

heh i kinda like what elemdee said... hell... if JC can get a job instructing on the mtn, you sure as hell can too! haha!

on the other hand, taking the big money position in ontario could mean making enough to save lots of money so you can take a season off and live in whistler...

Ah muffin! That's too bad about the job. At the risk of sounding cliche, there's a saying that my mom used to say in situations like these "when god closes a door, he opens a window". You just have to find that window. Hopefully when you look out of it you see snow covered mountains.
