I saw a shirt today that said I heart making heart.... it made me happy!

Things have been pretty busy.. worked 4 days last week, and doing the same this week.. quite a change from my 2 days a week.  And I started at the gym to get back into boarding shape. Plus the volleyball team I coach started games last week... so pretty much, 4 days a week I am at school from 7.30 am until 5pm. Then off to the gym. Then back home to eat and get my shi*t together for the next day. It's a good thing my internet died for a couple days.. i was forced to do real work and catch up a bit!

I am now eagerly awaiting snow!!!!!!!!!!! We were supposed to get a big dumping this weekend, but instead got lots of rain instead! ah well.. it was a good weekend to do some work, catch up with an old friend, and spend 2 hours a day at the gym.. yeah it's been fun!

This week, I was offered a full time contract starting in December to cover a maternity leave for the french first language school board. I said no.  I may be crazy, but i know that if I accept it, a) I won't be able to got to telus  b) i wouldn't get to use my 5x7 pass (well maybe twice) and c) this would lead to a full time job for next year and it would be impossible for me to say no and then i wouldn't move to whistler like I want to.

So yeah.. i'm going to be a part itme bum for the rest of the year. woohoo!

This weekend was the ski and snowboard show in Toronto. I met up with gang to search for deals... but didn'T find goggles :( ah well!

That night, after diner where mikey decided to try a 10 beer sampler, all to himself, in 45 minutes.. needless to say that didn't work out so well.... We headed to the Snowboard Canada Party.... where they had the Official Toronto Premier of forum's THAT and of White out film's Wear it Well.  It was quite and interesting night... When Laura's pics are up, you'll see what I mean!  It was so much fun.... but got much too drunk, as always! tehehe

The highlight of my night was getting my Hat Hat... it's so great! I heart it!!! And who would have thought all i had to do was go up and ask for it... Took it right off his head for me... now that i'm sober, I hope he doesn't have lice.  Here it is...

Now back in London... watching the boarding movies made me want to board more than ever!! Bring on the snow!! Speaking of which, i had to drive through a mini snow storm on my way to Toronto Saturday..woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For those of you who don’t know, I lost my best friend from high school in a car crash this past January.   Brody was the first person I called whenever I went home at thanksgiving, which made going back this weekend really hard. But there was another reason why this time was so hard…. After having put it off for quite some time, I finally got in contact with his widow (i hate using that word). I wish I could say I had the guts to call her, but I didn’t. After spending a month dialing the first 6 numbers then hanging up (starting on his birthday), I took the easy way out and sent her an email to see how she was doing. She responded and told me that she wanted me to see her and the baby. The last time I had seen Reagan was at the funeral. He looked so much like his dad.. the entire time I was holding him I was in tears. I was nervous that I wouldn’t know what to say to Heather, as we were never really friends. I spent the 4 days before the visit trying to mentally prepare myself for the visit. Heather decided that she should come to my house, as my family was really close to Brody, and that she knew that Brody would want us all to be part of Regans life.

The second I opened the door, all the nervousness melted away. Heather handed him to me to take his jacket off as she took her shoes off, and he just looked at me and smiled. He looked just like his dad, but it didn’t make me sad this time. Regan has grown so much… he’s running around and getting into lots of trouble. Heather and I managed to find a few things to talk about, but it wasn’t long until we started talking about Brody. She had only met him after university, so she wanted to know about what he was like in high school. She had been going through all his stuff and found all kinds of random things that she wanted me to explain to her. It was so great to share all the stories… and to pull out some tapes of some random moments that had been recorded for us all to laugh at later. I promised her to get some pics together for her to share with Regan when he’s older.

I had been so afraid of seeing her and the baby, but really it was the best thing I could have done. It still hurts that he’s gone, but at least now I know when I really miss him, I can always go see Regan and see those same brown eyes staring at me.

Hope all you Hosers have a great long weekend!! I cannot wait for turkey and stuffing! woohoo!
Bon weekend a tous!
The Thanksgiving song.

Love to eat turkey
Love to eat turkey

Love to eat turkey
'Cause it's good
Love to eat turkey
Like a good boy should
'Cause it's turkey to eat
So good

Turkey for me
Turkey for you
Let's eat the turkey
In my big brown shoe
Love to eat the turkey
At the table
I once saw a movie
With Betty Grable
Eat that turkey
All night long
Fifty million Elvis fans
Can't be wrong
Turkey lurkey doo and
Turkey lurkey dap
I eat that turkey
Then I take a nap

Thanksgiving is a special night
Jimmy Walker used to say Dynomite
That's right
Turkey with gravy and cranberry
Can't believe the Mets traded Darryl Strawberry
Turkey for you and
Turkey for me
Can't believe Tyson
Gave that girl V.D.

White meat, dark meat
You just can't lose
I fell off my moped
And I got a bruise
Turkey in the oven
And the buns in the toaster
I'll never take down
My Cheryl Tiegs poster
Wrap the turkey up
In aluminum foil
My brother likes to masturbate
With baby oil
Turkey and sweet potato pie
Sammy Davis Jr.
Only had one eye

Turkey for the girls and
Turkey for the boys
My favorite kind of pants
Are corduroys
Gobble gobble goo and
Gobble gobble gickel
I wish turkey
Only cost a nickel
Oh I love turkey on Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving everybody!

You know, it's some much easier when you don't have a choice. then you just do what is there for you to do... i hate choices, mainly because I am so bad at them!

I know most of you have no idea what you're doing next week let alone for new years, but in the past couple weeks i have been bombarded with propositions, and since i have nothing better to do, I have been obsessively trying to solve my travel problems.  And well, since i seem to be doing no good at it, it's your turn to solve them for me! ha!

I have just got a part time job on top of my part time teaching gig.  That means that I should have enough cash to do 2 major trips this year.  Here are my options...so far.

New Years.
-I really really wanted to go back to Whistler.. that place is like my crack... but I know i'll be there again this year
- Calgary.   I spent new years there last year and had a great time with Jules adn the gang.  And if the EC boys are planing on road tripping out there, I may be easily convinced to join.
-Cali. Riding Mammoth and Tahoe.... the only catch is i only know one of the guys on the trip...and I'd rather go see my friends then his.  But, i still haven't been to the states.....
-Brazil: Beachhouse and surfing... sounds great.. although i'm partial to a boarding trip.
-Stay at home and save money for other random trips.

Then comes march break.. i was just going to keep it low key, but then last night I heard that a trip to Las Vegas may be in the works for a friends Birthday. haven't seen the girls for 4 years (they live in the States and Mexico) so it would be a nice getaway.. problem is it's only a weekend and not sure I want to spend all that cash on a little trip. I have an entire week.. but haven'T began to think about any other options yet... i mean that's next year! haha

Telus in Whistler
I am 99% sure i will be there, so this is my 2nd major trip of the year.

So what should trip #1 be???  I have to get a deposit down on some of the trips soonish, so I sort of have2 weeks to make up my mind.  Or for you to make it up for me!
