I can't say I've had the need to venture too far from the hill this winter. It's been a good season. But, still... my wish list of trips and lines is still one with many unchecked boxes... and well, I just straight up needed to get out there see some new sights. An invite to go touring up by Jeoffre lake needed little consideration.

Typing this from bed on one of the very few bluebird days of the year is no easy feat, but I'm too sick to see the day go any other way.

I'm sure everyone is well aware about what's been goin on out here, but I needed to make a post just to be sure. Here's how were lookin...

With 416cm in November, 268cm in December (35cm on xmas eve)... brining us to 684cm this season, things are almost too good to be true. If your finding these numbers a little generous, I can personally say that they are UNDERSPEC with the base sitting at a modest 254cm recorded from the sheltered Pig Alley.

Christmas Day (~4am).. I didn't see my tracks for hours. Easily over 60cms in Symphony.

Like all good things in life, however, you can't have the good without the bad.... with some of the December storms clocking winds in excess of 120-150kmph, things are pretty scary out there. Even a week ago before the last few storms, patrol was able to aggravate class 1-2 fractures... even after bombing, a patroller went for a ride down the Christmas Chute on Blackcomb.. (size 2).. on Chirstmas day...

Anyway, it's time to get my day rolling. I think I'll go prepare a nice Vitamin buffet with a pitcher of tea and a mountain of dry toast. Yum.

It looks like a few of the Bullwheels in Whistletown will start spinnin' this weekend.
It's a good thing I'm not at home right now, i mean, it'd be terrible if I was there for opening... err.. I sure picked a good time to visit the otherside of the country... :|
