So, this weekend marked the beginning of my season. Yeah yeah! HCP hosted one of the best rail jams that Ottawa has seen to date. The setup, format, weather and turn-out were all great. Basically it was a .. 20' ish foot drop in to a big ramp (sort of like a table-top). You could gap to a handrail on the rider's left or hit a battleship ledge on the right side. The box had a pretty steep up, so most people either hit the flat-down or just gaped it. I didn't have a very good sesh, but I shouldn't make up excuses. I got to ride, so I was stoked. Messed around on the box a little, half-cab 5-0 fs 180 out. I guess I got fed up with the box thing and decided to just ollie to flat. It was fun, but my legs are sore today. I guess it was about an 8 - 9 foot drop? It was big, but not huge. There were def some bangers in the comp. Brad Gauley and Jeremy Cloutier killed it! Big ups. After party was sickter. Good to see everyone again. Its going to be a fun year!
