"CHILD SUPPORT" filming update April 9th 2007

Last roadtrip was a lot of fun although we had some injuries on the way. Torsti hurt his ankle pretty bad and is still on recovery.

Fredu rode straight into a rail and bruised his shin. He was walking with canes, but is riding again already.

Risto and Fredu scored some final tricks for their parts. Lapland was beautiful with nice weather. We returned to Helsinki for final days in Serena-ski resort, just riding for fun and having a good time gettin ready for the park tour.

Meanwhile back in the US of A...
Simon, Steve Cartwright, and Scotty Vine were all filming at Bear last week. Here are a few photos from their trip.

Well finally home from the roadtrip.
The roadtrip was a blast, even though we would have wanted more snow. We even managed to build a backcountry kicker, a small one, but it was fun.
The teamriders rocked all the time, they killed everything. There is not to much stuff to write about because of the snow-situation in europe.
We meet a lot of cool people at Mayrhofen.
Fenky, the dude that runs the coolest snowboard shop there, The Seeker.
Here are some more pics from the trip.
there's never enough gadgets
Jalle (teamerider) having a nice comfortable sleep in the car....
Wow... where did the road go...
More wierd stuff on the road
Going up towards the glacier Hintertux
Me and my friend mikko cheking out some lines, I'm holding an Alien prototype for 07/08
My friend Kimmo testing out a lip with a frontflip
Jalle lost and had to be the guineapig for our small kicker
Jalle hits the kicker again

More stuff later,

Hey everyone,
After a loooooong drive we finally arrived a day early --> 1 more riding day
We had kinda bad weather the first riding day, some good runs... but finally the second day, powder, sun... what more can we ask.
The first ones are from a mellow cruising run, the last one is from the top of our best run of the day.
Jalle (teamrider)
Hanne (teamrider)
me
the secret alien dude
me, at the top.

Today (the third day), was a fun day, no sun but it was dumping snow, so we where just jibbing around on the hill. Now we are waiting for the weather to clear up so that we can get some more powder shots.

Hey everyone,
The winter here in Finland have been soooooo bad this year. So we decided to take the alien-mobil and make a roadtrip to Austria for a hope of some snow.
Two of our team riders will join us.
Will post some pics and videoclips from the roadtrip as it begins.
Most of the time we are going to ride around Mayrhofen, we are going to be there from Jan. 25 - Feb. 2.
If you spot us just feel free to join and ride with us for a day....

Took a roadtrip with Jason to lower MI this weekend so I could buy a surfboard from a guy who works at Boyne Highlands. We rode there Saturday & had a good time & actually got to ride some real snow for a change, although it was a little packed & icy is some areas. Sunday we rode at Boyne Mtn. which is a pretty big resort for the midwest, but the hill left a lot to be desired. It reminded us of Cascade - crowded, beginners everywhere, and everyone crammed onto one or two main lifts. It seemed every person there was a beginner, and we had a hard time finding a place to get away from the crowds. Neither hill had much of a park, but we had fun. Hmmm, I think the drive up and back was just about as fun 8-)
I bought a used 9' long board & am totally stoked to finally have my own surfboard!! I don't want snowboard season to be over, but at least now I'll have something to give me my fix when it is, I'll be surfing!!!
I have also been looking for a 2006 Hyperlite Murray pro model wakeboard since last summer, and I finally found a good deal on one, as well as some new '05 Murray bindings. So I've got a new surfboard, & have a new wakeboard & bindings in the mail, new toys baby!!! New toys!!

My Blog: I'm Back!!
By: oxnikiexo

I know I abandoned most of you this past summer.  I just couldn't keep up.  With getting a new car and everything I spent most of my summer doing road trips and going to the Pike (a place where kids & their cars chill and we street race/watch races).  Yeah I got my 'Lola' 2004 RSX.
That was exciting.

...But with the new snow season coming around I'm getting giddy again!  Only downfall is I've been on and off with a blasted cold.  Now I know I said I was going to get a board last year but that never fell through.  I'm hoping to change it this year but money is tight considering I'll be visiting France in April and those payments are crap enough.  I'm hoping to get the board this weekend though (I'm seriously loving the Lux '07) but I want to get the perfect freerider set up.  I'm signing up for an Okemo trip and some trips to Killington everything Thursday.  I'm just wicked lucky this year because some of my friends live up in Vermont near all the good mountains and hopefully I can take a few roadtrips and get some discounts.

My goal this winter:  Kick ass on the terrain and have fun snowboarding.

Love.

My Journal: hallowe'en madness
By: kendrat

well we did have a great hallowe'en this year! tonnes of fun visiting with joe and the gang, definitely missed whistler parties! eryn and i drove over from the island, picked up jenelle and moselle along the way in vancouver, then headed up to whistler to get ready and party with joe, steve, jon, bexx, and everyone else who came out! it was a killer night, met some more awesome people, and stayed out way too late dancing up a storm. it was easy to tell when joe was coming, because the bar would erupt in a chorus of "NACHOOOOO!"s. and geoff, with his flashing lights and kickass costume had admirers of all sorts. he was like the main tourist attraction. of course my shoes were ridiculously high (as was i), and so i wound up walking to sevvie in my stocking feet. turns out the ground was pretty cold... whoops... eh well, the cabs finally materialised, and after gracefully turning down the invite of an air mattress if i should get tired of nacho, we were back to joe's (nacho's) to cause bit more ruckus before finally retiring. poor joe had to share his bed with moselle and myself, but between freezing my butt off in the aussie condo and having my joe-heater, i took the heater! turned out to be a bad choice because after all the drinking, both mo and joe were snorers! but i still love them both dearly. after a far too early brunch at wildwoods, we were off to roadtrip home. eryn and i both had a good nap on the ferry, and man am i glad i could sleep in today!

so, in conclusion....

NACHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Day 19 - Yosemite National Park, CA

As someone said in the 1800s, Yosemite is the valley of 1,000 valleys. What I saw here in one day is more than I would see almost anywhere else in a year.... my favorite park of all time!
-Hiked the Upper Yosemite Falls Trail.... unbeleivable!

Day 20 - Yosemite National Park, CA to Lake Tahoe, CA

My friend Ashley from Sacremento came and visited for the night. Nice to see you Ash!

Day 21 - Lake Tahoe, CA to CA/OR State Line

Day 22 - CA/OR State Line to Whistler, BC
-
Drove straight through the night and finally made it back to Whistler at 2pm. 1800KM in one shot - not bad at all!

So I walk into my grandma's house (this was last week, mind you) and my Auntie walks up to me and goes, "So...how do you feel about Canada...?"  I just gave her a blank stare.
Apparently, we're going to be heading over to Niagara Falls in Canada by Van; it'll be an 8-9 hour roadtrip.  That'll be fun I guess...?
I thought I was going to be alone to suffer the wrath of my parents but I came up with the brilliant idea of bring my best friend; Adriana.
So...guess what?
IT SHALL BE GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND.
Canada will never be the same after this weekend (we're staying Saturday and Sunday...woo woo...).
haahahhaah
(just kidding about the whole Canada never being the same...).

Anybody know of things to do or see or local shows located by the Niagara Falls area (around Ontario-Toronto I guess...)?

Lemme know kiddos.

Payce n Chicken Grease.

Roadtrip ’06 – Week 1

The first few days of a vacation are always the happiest. Spirits run high, finances are good, and you have the entire vacation ahead of you. Soon enough, it'll be half over, and then almost over, and before you know it you're sitting back in your office with another year to go before you know what a solid road trip feels like.

The first week was unique as we spanned several different climatic zones and saw a whole slew of different sights. Still, the entire time, we were no more than a stones throw away from the pacific. There is a certain aura which the pacific emits. Sometimes it’s a little intimidating, sometimes a little inspiring, but always humbling and relaxing. It is, after all, the largest ocean in the world. We have it to thank for all of our winter storms and shredable coastal waves. Whenever I visit the coast, whether it's in Tofino, BC or Encinitas, CA or anywhere in between, I am reassured, as Jim Morrison said, that "The West Is the Best".

-----

Day 1 - Whistler, BC to Keystone, WA

-Missed the last ferry and had to camp near the Keystone terminal.

Day 2 - Keystone, WA to OR Coast

-Got a 534usd speeding ticket in Port Angeles.... damnit!!
-Checked out the Hoh Rainforest and the beaches of Olympic National Park... always a good time.

Day 3 - OR Coast to Trinidad, CA

-Went swimming upon entry to CA.... cold water!
-It just wouldn't be Humboldt County if the first person you met didn't offer you chronic. Score!
-The weather was BEAUTIFUL! Set up camp, had a fire, cooked some meals, and played a drinking game version of bowling/baseball.
-Went to visit Colin in Arcata and checked out the house music at the Humboldt Brewery.

Day 4 - Trinidad, CA to San Fran, CA

-Reveled in the grandeur of the redwoods. Did several scenic drives, and even a drive thru tree!
-Set up camp at Samuel P. Taylor State Park in the redwoods near SF.

Day 5 -San Fran, CA to San Jose, CA

-Met Lorna's dad and others for breakfast at Pier 21... wow... properly cooked food and clean utensils!
-Did a walking tour of Alcatraz..... so interesting!!!
-Rocked up to the SJ Fairmont with our dirty car and dirty selves... how embarrassing! Good to have a non-public shower!

Day 6 - San Jose, CA to Santa Cruz, CA

-Drove around SC and saw the sights... checked out some beaches.
-Checked out the Mystery Spot... pretty cool place!
-Set up camp at New Brighton State Beach.

Day 7 - Santa Cruz, CA to Ventura, CA

-We saw tons of scenery today. Hwy 1 is always awesome. Even the chili peppers agree with me (listen to "Road Trippin").

-Stopped to see the Elephant Seals.

-Went to a hot spring near Santa Barbara.

Day 8 – Ventura, CA to Los Angeles, CA

-Hit up the famous LA beaches for some sunbathing and bong hits. Malibu, Sunset, Venice.

-Stayed at the Motel 6 in the San Fernando Valley, surrounded by the world’s best porn mansions.

My Journal: over?
By: gongshow_eMMa

Closing day at Sunshine was hilarious. I got chucked into slush cup and my boots are STILL wet. Luckily my phone survived and I got a free dinner out of it, so it all worked out in the end.

Now it's technically summer and all I have to look forward to is ACL surgery and hopefully many roadtrips with SFAC and others to canmore/banff/invermere etc. for weekends of debauchery....with crutches!

uhhh can't wait for next season? fernie won't know what hit it....

* Worthwhile long drive through Sweden when visiting Oslo. Great vibe, nice riding at Tryvann and Varingskollen and good partying :)

* Riding the newest 2007 boards at Saas Fee for the annual Taste-boardtest. It's a dirrrty job, especially with all the pow we got haha!

I'm back from new zealand. as expected we got our asses kicked at rugby. we did however manage to win a game. total record of 1-3. not bad for a canadian team.

now off the field, thats where we really won. we were there for 12 days, and were waisted for 9 of them(yea, thats gonna be our excuse for losing 3 games). beer is so cheap! a 6 pack is only $5 nz (wesker then canadian money). there beer is also weaker, but if you drink enough of it really fast, it will get you drunk. it got 2 of our guys so drunk that they passed out. so what did we do? we shaved their eyebrows ofcourse. you snooze you lose.

new zealand ladies were very, very disapointing. they've got nothign on canadian girls. After our schools last tour 4 years ago in scotland half the team got laid on the first night. in a total of 12 days and coountless pub, parties and clubs the team total of get downs totaled zero. and no, we didnt try to go after maori chicks.

all in all, it was an awesome trip. many great memories. makes me want to go on more roadtrips. So much funny shi*t happend on our bus.
I haven't posted my pictures on the internet yet, but i will do so in the next week or two.
